my hand fell to my beautifully baby, crafted perfectly by my husband and i. my smile soon turned to a frown, knowing she would have to fight her whole life, never being able to see how the real world was. i thought, my lovely sila, may you seek adventure in our new world, using your soft and kind heart that your dad has passed down to you, but also your fierce and hardness from your mother when times get tough.... as you grow, we not only hope to see our characteristics in you, but others as well. push forward and smile like your aunt, kennedy. stand up and fight for whats right like your aunt, davina, who's name you will cherish. see the good and love like your late aunt beth. lastly, be the good in this horrific world and show us the light to our nightmares. show everyone what your name means.

we love you, sila.
