We live in a world where society is but a construction of corruption and yet without society we'd live in a world of chaos. Quite the predicament right?

Senku didn't think much about the attention he received from his classmates, preferring to focus his attention on studies. The only thing he really saw, when he looked at his classmates, was how they could help benefit his own gain. While on some standpoints it was rather cruel, it was what Senku thought as normal.

There was, perhaps only three people, aside from his father, that truly peaked his interest.

One. Senku's best friend, Taiju Oki. While rather dull, he was loyal to a fault and would often charge forward without hesitation. He was the first person Senku could really call a friend.

Two. Yuzuriha Ogawa, Senku's first female friend - though he only met her through Taiju - and a rather creative person to boot. She saw the world, at least according to Senku, through a rose tinted lens. But he didn't think that was a bad thing. At least not in their world.

And three. (Y/n) (L/n). Senku didn't know much about her. He actually didn't know her personally at all apart from the fact that she sat in front of him in chemistry class; and that there always seemed to be a new person sitting beside her.

(Y/n) - to her teachers - was at best an average student who didn't disrupt class much; but to her peers, she was known as a problem solver. Whether she was solving friendship problems or relationship issues, she always seemed to have her hands full.

Senku, honestly, wasn't really sure why she caught his attention in the first place. There were plenty of popular girls whom he shared classes with.

There was just something different about her.

"It's a psychology test," a young boy with glasses read, "you can only save yourself, your friend or your significant other. Which do you choose?"

"I'd have a hard time picking between my friend or my boyfriend..." Yuzuriha began.

"You'd pick yourself in the moment right?" The boy reading asked.

Taiju exclaimed, "there's no good choice. Kind of a nasty quiz. Don'tcha think?!"

"All of us." Senku declared, "from the very start, I'd find a way to save everyone!"

"Ohh, that's the sort of answer we'd expect from the science club president."

"Wait, that's an option? I pick that one too, then!" Taiju added.

"Well, that's ten billion precent obvious! What garbage dump did you find that book in?!"

"I didn't take you to be so naive, Ishigami-san." Came a voice from the door, "while rather admirable I don't think it's a plausible answer to the question. Even if that someone is you."

Senku tore his eyes away from his current project and towards the (h/c) haired girl standing at the door of the room. She stood stiffly, with her hands behind her back, despite the carefree smile on her face.

"Why don't you think it's a possible answer, (L/n)-san!?" Taiju asked.

(Y/n) only giggled in response, "please excuse my bad manors! I personally quite enjoy reading books about psychology and got excited when I saw what you were talking about! I shouldn't have butt into your conversation! Please carry on with your task!"

"Have you read the book before (L/n)-san?" Yuzuriha asked, "what would you pick?"

(Y/n) gave them a smile that didn't quite reach her eyes, "as much as I'd like to say I would pick a lover or friend, I would unfortunately have to say myself. I'm terribly fearful of death. We'd like to believe we would choose someone else, but if we're truly honest with ourselves -do we not value our own lives over the lives of others?"
