Chapter 4

John's House
Third Person POV:

After John told his history and what his thoughts were (while completely excluding what happened after getting arrested by the authorities).

Everyone was thinking for themselves of what John had went through.

"But what happened during the one year in between New Bostin and Wellston?" Isen questioned.

"What do you mean?" John asked?

"Well, sorry but I looked through your history with the information you gave me. What was weird was that after your expulsion, there is a year gap during between your expulsion and your acceptance into Wellston. So I just want to know what happened during that time." Isen replied.

"Actually, yeah, something still don't add up and I bet its that one year gap" Seraphina said.

John sighed. He really was hoping not to answer the question. But he knew he had to.

"I was sent to a reeducation facility for 3 months after getting arrested by the authorities." John said.

"And what happened during then?" Blyke said.

John hearing that question, looked down. He was remembered everything that happened and it truly took a toll on his mentality.

"John, please tell us, we do want to help you" Seraphina said.

"Right... Right..." John said. "So there was this guy called Keon" John started.

"And who is he?" Remi asked.

"One of the authorities." John said. "His ability was to make someone relive memories. If I had to guess, the name would be Memory Manipulation or something close to that" John finished.

"And what did he do to you?" Sera said.

"Well, during my time in the facility. He basically forced me to relive all of my memories which includes every mistake, beatings and betrayal I had. And as if that wasn't enough. If I ever tried to fight back or if he felt necessary. He would get physical and beat me" John said.

Remi gasp in shock while everyone was left speechless.

Remi's POV:

'I knew the Authorities were shady. But I never knew they were willing torture young teens. So that's why John acted irrationally and impulsively. He was traumatized by the Authorities and Asslo really planned something so malicious just because John wasn't acting his rank.' I thought.

I was appalled of what John had went through. It was depressing to even think of his pain.

Sera's POV:

'So that explains a lot. His passive allowed him to detect that invisible stalker. His unparalleled confidence. The fact he is a God-tier is shocking but I am happy that he told us now rather than later. And Arlo... Prepare for the amount of pain I am gonna give you for me and John' I thought.

Blyke's POV:

'Damn, I didn't know about his past and now I feel like an asshole for shooting at his head. I really thought there was some good in the Authorities. But they did something so messed up. Its something I can't comprehend. John is unbelievably strong, not just ability but mentally as well' I thought.
