Chapter 11

After Sera's Interrogation
Hallways outside of Headmaster's Office
John's POV:

I am running to the where the Headmaster's office is with Remi, Blyke and Isen trying to catch up with me.

"How do you know where Sera is anyways?" Isen asked.

"I'll tell you about it later." I answered back.

I turn around to a corner and bumped into someone.
On a second glance, the one I bumped into was Seraphina.

'Welp, I guess time saved.' I thought.

"Hey Sera" I said.

"Oh hey John..." Sera replied upset.

Then, Remi, Blyke and Isen finally caught up with me. All of them are exhausted.

"Dude, how are you so fast?" Blyke questioned.

"I ain't fast, you're just slow" I answered back.

"Oh hey guys..." Sera said.

"What's wrong? Why the long face?" Remi asked.

"I was interrograted." She reponds.

"So? Are you in any trouble?" Isen asked.

"Yes but I am not the one who you guys should be worried about for now." She said.
"John, I am sorry. They found out you gave me the book." She continues.

"I see..." I said. I understood that I was going to be interrograted prettysoon. 'I am pretty sure it is gonna be Keon again. Knowing that, I am confident I can pass the interrogration. I went through it once after all. But I don't know if I can keep a calm demeanor around Keon. He is terrifying.' I thought.

"Yeah, and Keon was interrograting you. From his reaction to hearing your name, I am pretty sure it's the same guy who tormented you." She said.

"It's fine." I said. I can tell my friends are worried about me considering that I was going to meet up with Keon. 

"You sure? Maybe you should sit this one out." Remi said concerned.

"That is not a choice. The authorities would find me due to the heavy security anyways." I said.

"I am sorry John, if only I was less careless." Sera apologizes, she is beating herself up about it.

"Don't worry about it. I was most likely gonne get in trouble with the authorties due to the fact my dad's the author." I said. "How about let's brighten the mood a bit, let's go do something."

"You sure?" She said.

"Yep" I said.

"Then let's go to the mall!"Remi suggested. To which Sera agreed with.

While the others and I completely rejected the idea.

We were bickering for a while but it seems that the girls won.

We had a great time hanging out.

Remi and Sera took a long time picking out clothes. Which cause Blyke, Isen and I to suffer.

Today, Sera and I also found out that Isen has an unhealthy obsession with pens. 

And after Isen finally got his pen, we went to watch a film, everything was great. I wished everything started out like this in my last timeline.

While we were hanging out in the mall. I passed by a certain shop. It was the shop where I got my Joker mask from. I don't know why, but something made me bought it. It's not like I plan to destroy the hierarchy in my school since everyone knows about my ability so I have no idea why I bought the mask. But I still did. I am pretty sure Sera saw my emotions clear as day when I bought the mask and probably so did Isen. But I don't care. I am probably going to forget where I left this mask anyways.

After that, we went back to our dorm rooms to sleep. 

Next day
School
Sera's POV:

I was on the roof, playing flappy pig. It was a bit lonely since John was going to class this time. And so are the others. I got to break my best record with a score of 9079.

'Heh, I am pretty sure John's gonna be shocked when he sees this' I thought. 'But speaking of John, recently, I have detected some unusual things. For one, John seems to be experience some extreme emotions. Whenever he is happy, he is extatic and he smiles a lot. But when he is angry, he tends to have cold glaring eyes. When he is trying to hide his emotions, it's obvious that he fakes a smile. But it's so easy to see through. John has gone throught a lot but I can't even help, it felt like I am useless as a friend. But it's not like I can do much. I can't force it out of him on what had happened in his timeline. Nor can I just find it on the internet. 

Second of all, John seems to have extreme PTSD. I don't know if it was from Keon's treatment, John getting betrayed by both Arlo and Claire, or if it was something else that I have no idea of in his past timeline. But his actions clearly show some kind of mental trauma. Espiecially yesterday when John bought that black mask. I can tell he was somewhat upset when he saw the mask which I am assuming relates with something from his timeline. But again, I don't know.

And lastly, it seems that John has been more shady. There are often contridicting phrases and ideas in his statements that when checked over, becomes apperent. Some I understand, for example, when he said that he went back to the stall and found a tracker in the teddy bear. However, because of 3 certain people, the stall never came back up in the mall. Heck, it was in the school newspaper! I understand that he got his information from his timeline and that he was hiding the fact he travelled through time. But if Isen were to actually check over this, he could probably find something wrong with it.

Other times though, there were-'

"HEY SERA!" I heard which made me jumped up. I looked up and saw that it was John.

"Ouch, did you have to scream that loud?" I asked.

"Yes I did. You were so deep in thought that you couldn't hear me repeating your name for a whole minute." He said.

"I see." I said.
"Why are you here anyways? Period still isn't over, unless I miss the bell." I said.

"Well, class was so boring that I decided to just ask the teachers to go to the washroom, then I skipped his class." He said.

"Pfft, that sounds so much like you" I said.

"Hey, what's that supposed to mean?' John said in a joking manner.

We both were smiling and happy. It made me realized that even if John was slightly different from before, he is still John, someone unique to this world. He is my best friend.
