Marinette knew Lila would get to him sooner or later so she tried to detach herself from him as much as possible, but how could she when the guy was like a magnet, or she was the magnet. Maybe they were two opposite magnets, the South and North. And, you know, science right?
Unless you failed that subject -_-
Moving on.
Felix confronted her and she listened to what Lila had told him, his thoughts, and it somehow hurt her knowing that he had sudden doubts about her.
"Felix, I'm..." Marinette wants to apologize. She doesn't know why. She knows she hadn't done anything wrong, so why is she apologizing? Maybe she apologizes for not telling him that he was wasting his time with an outcast such as herself, or for not warning him about Lila, or maybe she's apologizing she got attached to Felix, in such a short time to. But, before she could say any of that, Felix continued.
"I am not going to believe anything of Lila will say," he said, shocking Marinette. Didn't he just told her he was having doubts? "Before I hear your side of the story," he finished.
He's... Going to hear her out? Marinette felt weak in her knees. No one had ever tried hearing her out after Nino left. No one. And now, this new transferee and Adrien's blood-relative is more than willing to let her tell her story. She was overwhelmed. She didn't know what to do, but she wanted to show gratitude. So, she rushed towards him, tripping over a step as she did, but managed to wrap her arms around the taller boy. She wanted to cry, but she didn't want to wet his probably expensive outfit.
Finally, she found someone who is willing to listen. Maybe he'll make negative judgements after hearing her story, but who cares? All she wants was an ear she can talk to.
