SIENNA

The ringing filled the house when I was checking the oven. Just in time. Not surprised at all.

I went to the door and buzzed James in. I watched the elevator go down and went its way back to my floor. Then James walked out. He was tall and handsome as always. His hair was even shinning in the dim hallway light and his lips were pulled into a charming smile.

I smiled back at him from the threshold. "Welcome." When he came, I took a few steps back so he can get in.

When he was in the house he closed the door and wrapped his arm around my waist, pulling me into him. When I put my hands in his chest he leaned in and pressed a kiss to my jaw. And then he pulled away from me to take out his coat. The city was getting cold.

He was not wearing a three-piece suit. Considering the occasion it was only natural but this was James. His clothing was still not too out of character. His black pants looked more sporty but they were no jeans. He wasn't wearing a suit jacket, only a black shirt with its sleeves rolled up. His muscular forearms were a sight to behold.

"I am shocked. You are not wearing a suit." I teased while taking him to the living room which was connected to the kitchen.

James chuckled and when I turned around to him his eyes took me in slowly. "I am shocked too. I have never seen you in something so... dark."

It was true. I was wearing a black shirt and a loose burgundy shirt. I usually preferer's nudes and whites but I liked the color too. "And being surprising was not on my agenda at all."

With that James hold the bag he was holding in his hand. "Want to see the wine?"

I nodded and James took out a boxed wine with a devilish expression. I started laughing. A guy as fancy as James holding a boxed wine was funny. "Okay, I am surprised." I took the wine from him and examine it.

"Since I manage that I guess I can give you this too." He took a bottle from the bag. "I couldn't let us drink that just so I can surprise you."

I looked at the fancy bottle in his hands and took that too. "Oh, great we have options. I don't know which one I am going to choose." When James shook his head smiling, I head for the kitchen. "Well, we can drink the fancy one. Tillie and I can drink the boxed wine later."

James leaned in the kitchen island. "You really drink that."

I shrugged. "It's wine."

"It's horrible."

"When you drink too much it starts tasting good."

James chuckles. "I am really waiting for the day when you are going to tell me you have an alcohol problem."

"I don't!" I punched James' shoulder but he held it and pulled me into him. I tried not to get lost on his Tom Ford cologne. From what I saw in his bathroom it was Tom Ford. "I only drink much when I am with Tillie."

"Isn't she the one who left you alone at the strip club? Maybe it is not a very good idea to get drunk with her."

I rolled my eyes at him playfully. "It worked out well at the end. If I didn't have your watch I would have never called you."

James got that twisted. "Why is that? I thought we had a good chat."

"We did but I would be too shy to call you."

His expression changed and his lips curled into a small smile. He brought his hands to my cheek and brushed my bottom lip with his thumb. That small touch sent electric waves through my body. "Still I am not saying that it was good that she left you alone."
