When I woke up the next day, I was fully rested and felt wonderful. I glanced at my clock and realized it was 11 O'clock! I ran down the stairs and saw Chelsea already sitting at the dining table eating breakfast with Logan, Kendall, James, and Carlos. Were those boys always here?

"Why didn't you guys wake me up?" I asked, sleep still in my voice.

"Well we we're going to... But you looked like you needed as much sleep as you could get. So we let you sleep as long as you could." Logan answered.

I glared at all of them and they laughed. Then the smell of breakfast overwhelmed me. I sat down in a chair in between James and Chelsea.

I saw Kendall wink at James. James blushed and looked down and seemed very interested in his food. I wonder what that was all about.

Chelsea was having an intense conversation with Carlos about whether unicorns were real or not. Carlos thought they weren't and Chelsea thought they were. I was with Carlos on this one. Logan and Kendall were discussing something about shooting the next episode of BTR and James was still examining his now empty plate.

"What are you doing?" I asked James.

"Oh, I um... Well I... I don't know." He stuttered out.

"Oh, well, I'm gonna see if Logan wants me to wash the dishes because his cleaner lady doesn't get here for another hour. There is nothing I have come to hate more than a dirty kitchen." I told him.

"I'll help, I mean, if you want me to." He seemed almost... Nervous.

We gathered everyones dishes after Logan gave us the OK and started washing. While washing we were talking and having a great time. Then, all of the sudden, James splashed me, soaking me completely. He doubled over in laughter when I screamed and freaked out. I splashed back while he was still laughing and a whole water war broke out.

We ended up on the ground, soaked from head to toe, laughing our heads off. I haven't had this much fun since before my mom was diagnosed with her cancer. I stopped laughing and sighed, thinking about my mom.

"Hey, what's wrong?" James had stopped laughing now also.

"I haven't had this much fun since before my mom was diagnosed with brain cancer. I was always taking care of Chelsea and myself while mom was in the hospital. Chelsea was only thirteen when my mom was diagnosed. I had to act like the mother figure for that whole time. I mean, I was only eighteen and had to work, pay bills, and take care of a thirteen year old. I had hardly any friends because I didn't have time to see anybody." I had a few tears running down my face now.

"I'm so sorry." He told me. Then he engulfed me in a hug.

I couldn't help it anymore. I started sobbing into his chest. He just hugged me tighter and whispered soothing things into my ear.

After about five minutes, my sobbing reduced to hiccups. James just kept rubbing my back until I calmed down all the way.

When I finally did calm down, James looked me in the eyes and started leaning in. I started leaning to until our lips touched.

Oh. My. Gosh. I was kissing James Maslow! And there were defiantly sparks flying too! We were sitting on the floor of my temporary house's kitchen kissing!

Then the kitchen door burst open.

Rachel's POV

When the kitchen door opened James and I quickly parted, but not before Carlos and Chelsea saw us. James and I stared stammering excuses, but they just looked at each other and smirked.

Before we knew it they both ran out of the kitchen screaming about what they just saw. We quickly got off the floor and chased after them. We finally caught up to them, but they had already told Kendall and Logan what they had seen.

"They were kissing! K-I-S-S-I-N-G!" Carlos yelled.

Logan and Kendall looked at us with funny looks on their faces. Then they both burst out laughing and came over and clapped James on the back saying things like "I knew it" and "Nice job buddy".

Chelsea hugged me and yelled "Yay! Rachel has a boyfriend!"

I blushed and looked at my feet. I mumbled something about him not being my boyfriend and it being just a kiss and not meaning anything. Not that I didn't want it to mean something...

James looked about as embarrassed as I was. He sat down on one of the couches and looked at his lap while Kendall, Carlos, Chelsea, and Logan were gushing about the kiss, even though only two of them saw it and none of them experienced it.
