I was getting ready for my second day of school when the phone rang. Clay was calling me for the first time in months. Of course, I picked it up immediately. The call went silent for a bit.
"Hey," He spoke softly into the phone. "Wanna skip class?"
"What? Clay, it's only the second day of school." I replied surprised. Normally he kept his skipping habits away from me.
"Please? We need some quality Clay-George time. It's been months since we've had some."
"What happens when they call my parents?"
"Say you skipped, your dad used to all the time, remember those stories? Plus your mom is all caught up with your soulmate. She lets you get away with murder."
"Fine, but this is the only time."
"Yesss, meet me by the bus loop at school. We can go through the woods into town."
"See you there."
The call hang-up sound rang in my ears. This was going to be a great day. I quickly finished getting ready then ran to the bus. Clay was the only thing on my mind. Maybe I'll be brave enough to make a move. I ran out of the house excited. Mom didn't even question my abnormal morning energy.
Of course, today was the day the bus was going to be late. Kids piled up at the bus stop. Everyone checked their phones over and over. 10 minutes had gone by and still no bus. I texted Clay letting him know I'd be a bit late. Another five minutes passed. This senior drove by in his truck. One guy had this brilliant idea of hitching a ride in the bed of it. Everyone jumped into the back. I huddled in a corner hoping I wouldn't die. This was one way to get to school.
As we drove out of the neighborhood I heard angry parents at their front doors. A couple of girls flipped them off. I didn't want to join so I sat there quietly. Eventually, we made out of the neighborhood. Plenty of people were woken up. On the main road, we caused quite the ruckus. People were recording us through their windows. The girls ate it up, some lifted their shirts to expose their bras. I just laughed knowing that it would cause an outrage later.
When the loud music started blaring I knew I was in for a treat. They played some crazy rap music everyone knew the lyrics too. I still sat there just trying to keep calm. I finally started to sing along. The vibrations of the music lifted my spirit. I then stood up and started to dance. Everyone cheered me on as I moved my hips around. Girls let out loud screams, boys started to dance like me. I saw the school coming into the distance. I kept dancing like an idiot forgetting about the sharp turn that must be taken in order to get into the parking lot. I felt a quick jolt. Before I knew it I was on the grass by some trees. My backpack a couple of feet behind me.
I saw Clay start to run over to me. The truck full of people was now parked. All the kids looked away from me and ran into the school. Clay kneeled beside my head. He picked me up. I'm not sure how long he walked. I was in a daze. My head was pounding. Eventually, I was laid down on something soft.
"Clay, where are we?" I asked trying to ignore the pounding headache.
"Shhhhh, you're ok George. We're in my room. Mom and Dad are gone for the next week."
I laid back down closing my eyes. I felt a warm body huddle up next to me. It's just the dog. I cuddled back playing with the fluffy hair.
When I woke up I still felt the dog next to me. I rubbed the sleep out of my eyes. I looked over to see Clay with his arms wrapped around my waist. I jumped a bit, but then completely melted into the touch. This was all I could ever want. I just sat there in his arms until I heard him yawn. He sat up. The bedhead was strong with this one. It honestly gave me butterflies.
"W-what the," He whispered seeing his arm wrapped around me. "Did you do this?"
"No, I woke up with them around me."
"Sorry, I'm used to holding my pillow. Must've thought you we're one."
Clay rubbed the back of his head. My cheeks must've turned 14 different shades of red. We sat there for a long time just talking. It was nice talking to Clay again. He hadn't been like this in such a long time.
"You wanna go eat lunch or something? We've slept most of the morning," Clay asked getting up.
"Sure why not."
Since Clay's parents were gone we had nothing to drive. Except for his skateboard. The funny thing is, I've never skated before. He made me jump on his back he rode down the road. I was scared the entire time but it was cute. So I wasn't complaining. I had my arms around Clay's neck as my legs were wrapped around his waist. My head sat on his shoulder as we rode down the street. The wind in my face made me smile. This was so fun, I'd kill to do it again.
We arrived at the local Olive Garden in a couple of minutes. We sat down hungry as we could ever be. I was enjoying every minute of this. I liked to pretend that it was a date and not just a friend thing.
For the rest of the day, we ate and shopped. It was the best day I have ever had. I wouldn't change it for the world. The only thing I dreaded was facing my parents.
That night we watched the sunset on the park hill eating ice cream. I sat there laughing at everything Clay said. His soft voice filled my ears. I was laughing so hard that I accidentally fell in his lap. My head was on his jeans as he looked down at me. His eyes sparkled in the remaining sunlight. I watched as his face lowered to where we almost kissed. I was so tempted to pull him in. I got nervous and chickened out. He sat back up.
"We should probably get going," He said.
"Yeah let's get out of here."
Clay took me home on his skateboard. Once I was dropped off we hugged it out. He apologized for all the negativity lately. I wanted to tell him it was ok to be gay but it would just cause an argument. So I let go then ran into the house. I watched as Clay skated off into the distance until I couldn't see him. Mom and Dad weren't too happy with me skipping. Clay was right though, Mom let me get away home free. She was being nice because she wanted me to find my soulmate. Dad just accepted that I would skip every once and a while.
That night as I fell asleep, I realized that I had fallen completely in love with Clay.
Hey, I got this one out pretty quickly :D!!! So in the future, how would you guys think about some smut? I think we all know who it'll be about, but would you all be cool with it?
