Unexpected but beautiful

6. Are we ready for a baby?🤔

After roaming all day, she was seated at the cafe near the beautiful Riverside. The view was gorgeous with many French mini-restaurant/bistro throughout the area, while the sun reflected the turquoise green water making it more beautiful. She could see a bunch of ducks paddling on it, it was cute. Even though the neighborhood was crowded, the ambiance was nice.

The aroma of freshly brewed rich coffee struck her nostrils as he came up with two cups of latte and one choco-vanilla pastry, sitting across her.

R: "Yeh lo Sona tumhara latte." He passed the mug.

S:" Thank you!

She took a sip. The breeze blew her hair away but wasn't feeling cold because she was wearing a red coat with a black boot.

S:" Rohit..."

R: "Hmm..."

He just took a sip while scrolling through the phone and put the mug on the table.

S: "Rohit aaj hi jana padhega? Can we stick around for a few more days?"
He looked at her.

She knew the answers would be no, but there's nothing wrong with asking, right?

R:" I would love to but I have a few appointments/cases waiting for tomorrow, we have to go home tonight."

S:" Hmm..."

She was looking at the mug and doing patterns around the edge.

R: "Don't be upset Sona, jab bhi chuti milenge hum yahaan ayenge. "

He said by gently putting his palm over her hand and squeezed a little.

S: "When do you get a day off?" She looked at him.

R: "I do get on the weekdays and sometimes on weekends."

S: "Yeah you get but most of the time you end up having an emergency at the last minute!"

R:" Sona that's my job and we don't know kab Kisi ko kya zaroorat pare. You have to understand."

S: "I understand Rohit that why I married you but don't forget you have a personal life too toh tumhe mujhe bhi time dena padhega!"

R:" I am giving you na we are here in Paris!"

S:" Yeah but you came here for work purpose!"

R:" Phir bhi I am trying na Sona. If wanted I could have come here alone, but no I thought if you came with me then we could spend some time together, we did and don't forget that you also work and whenever I am free you are at school!"

She didn't say anything was silents.

R: "By the way, don't you have work tomorrow?" He looked at her.

S:" yeah I have but I thought I would take a day off but rehne do..."

She said, crossing her hand over the table, looking down at the river. The disappointment was evident in her face.

R:" Be ready at sharp 8:pm. I don't want to miss our flight. Above that, I have to attend a conference at 3 pm today."

In the meantime, he got a call and walked out of there. She was gazing at his back, was talking on the phone.

Ronakshi walked out from the movie theatre while they both were laughing. Waited for Ajit Pooja and others to came out.

R:" Flim acha tha na?"

S: "kya acha tha agar hum dono akele ate toh... lekin with Ajit, Pooja Akash chahu and Deepa Chachi its was awkward. "
