Unexpected but beautiful

27. It was a twin?🤨

R:" Another baby Matlab? What do you mean?"

D:" I mean she was expecting twin Rohit and now unfortunately she lost one."

Rohit gasped once again by closing his eyes. It made tears fall on his cheek. He wiped his tears by palming his face. Then when opened his eyes, saw Dr. Dimpy was looking at him worriedly.

D:" Are you ok Rohit? Tum thik toh ho na?"

R: "Yeah....yeah I am good."

After a silence of a few minutes, Rohit spoke...

"Dr. Dimpy why didn't you tell us earlier that she was expecting twin?"

D:" Because it's very hard to detect and I didn't notice that until today when her result came. Dekho Rohit when we did the ultrasound today, we saw the baby was ok...perfectly fine. But what I was worried about was her bleeding? And that was abnormal. I know sometimes happens due to stress but Sonakshi...her bleeding was horrible. It was heavy with some blood cloth. Then we suspected that something serious might happened to her.

When I looked at her previous ultrasound, I didn't notice at first but when I double-checked I saw there was a hidden twin. It's was very hard to figure out. Look Rohit."

She was showing him by turning the screen of her desktop. There was a couple of ultrasound picture of the babies. It was in black& white and blurry.

D: "Yeh dekho Rohit this is the previous one when she was 10 weeks and that the recent one."

Dr.Dimpy was showing him by pointing her finger toward the screen.

D: "This is the picture of her first ultrasound when she was 10 weeks pregnant.

He was looking at it very closely and noticed that in the first one there were two tiny dots.

"And now, in this picture,( She scrolled the page by showing the second pic.) look carefully there are two fetuses. That's mean a twins baby."

His eyes glistened once again upon seeing it.

D:" and this is the ultrasound that we did today, as she's now 12 weeks pregnant."

Rohit was looking at the picture very intensely and when he saw the recent one, tears threatened to fall.

"We have detected there is only one fetus that means there is only one baby. So that's why she was bleeding. She may bleed for the next few hours but it will stop naturally."

There was only one dot. Only one! He kept looking at them. He couldn't hold back his tears and began to flow down on his cheek. It was difficult for him to accept the fact that Dr.Dimpy was right! Sonakshi was expecting a twins baby but unfortunately, she lost one.

R: "Can I have those pictures?"

D: "Yes sure I will give you a copy of each."

R:" But why did that happen...I mean is there is any reason behind it? Is...is it's happened due to the accident?"
