As an aromantic or any identity on the aro-spectrum, you still have a sexual orientation as well and you may even have more than one sexual/romantic orientation. If you're interested in some asexual (lack of sexual attraction) identities and information in general take a look at my book: A Guide to Asexuality.

Anywho, aromanticism only defines your romantic orientation and you may have any sexual orientation. Despite common misconceptions, aromantics and others on the aro-spectrum can still feel sexual love and attraction(among other attractions). Although, some may also be asexual and/or on the ace-spectrum.

Many people may also find that they identify with multiple romantic orientations on and/or off the aromantic spectrum. A common example of this is some people identify as greyromantic and demiromantic. This means that in order for them to feel that rare romantic attraction they must have a deep emotional connection with that person first. Along with this, these demi-greyromantics may also identify with an alloromantic label such as homoromantic, biromantic, omniromantic, panromantic, skolioromantic etc., meaning that on the rare occasions they feel romantic attraction to someone they have a deep emotional connection with it would only be with someone of the gender(s) their alloromantic label says they're attracted to. However, many people also find that it is just enough to know that they are aromantic and don't find a need to define their romantic orientation more than that and that is completely valid. The terms and labels people use are up to themselves and it is up to us to accept them.

And just like any label on the LGBTQ+ spectrum, the definition of aromanticism and any aro-spectrum identities can be somewhat fluid based on the person identifying with the label.

As always, coming to terms with your sexuality/romantic orientation takes time and it's okay if you don't know what feels right yet, that's okay! Just take all the time you need! As always, let me know if you have any questions about aromanticism or anything really! I hope y'all are doing great! I love y'all!! (no romo)
