Today, I'll be covering just a few of the many aromantic spectrum flags!
This is the aromantic flag. This flag has five stripes with five different colors: Dark green, light green, white, grey, and black. The dark green and the light green stripes represent aromanticism and all aromantic spectrum identities. The white stripe was originally yellow when this flag was proposed, however, some uses had sensory issues with it so the color was switched to white and the meaning of the color of this stripe is friendship since many aros will have friendships that go beyond an 'average' or 'stereotypical' friendship. The grey and black stripes represent all the possible sexual orientations and identities of aro-spec individuals since aromantics may still experience sexual attraction.
This is the aromantic spectrum flag. While the aromantic flag is generally used to represent aro-spec people of all orientations this one was recently created (August 2020) to more accurately represent all members of the aro-spectrum. This flag also has 5 stripes and 5 colors: dark green, light green, light yellow, teal, and dark teal. The dark green represents all forms of aromanticism and all orientations within the aromantic spectrum. The light green represents diversity in attraction and experiences within the aromantic spectrum. The light yellow represents the aromantic community and the history of the community. The teal stripe represents pride, solidarity, and acceptance in one's identity and other aro-spec people's identities. The dark teal stripe represents that aro-spec identities are separate from asexuality.
