The blurgg that we had arrived on had ran away during the fight. This left Mando and I stuck on foot once again. The child's pram followed behind us.

As we're walking, I turn my gaze slightly to the Mandalorian, "Thank you again for not letting the droid kill me or the child."

"I couldn't let him kill the bounty," Mando responds bluntly. I don't have a response to this so I just allow the silence to take over.

The child's pram speeds up slightly so that it is right next to me. I look down at the child. He looks back up at me and coos lightly, causing me to smile. Did he really only save me and the child for the bounty?

A small lizard creature scurries its way past our feet. I turn my gaze away from the child and look around us. There are many lizards running around, watching us pass by. I feel myself scoot closer to the Mandalorian, feeling like we're being watched.

The Mandalorian notices my movement and looks down at me, "What's wrong?"

"Something doesn't feel right. It feels like we're being watched," I respond, still looking around.

Mando brings us to a stop and takes a look around. His hand makes its way to his blaster as the silence around us almost becomes deafening.

A Trandoshan jumps out from behind a boulder and hits Mando. The Mandalorian pushes the pram out of the way and the child lets out a little noise as he falls over in his carrier. "Go by the child!" Mando yells at me as he tries to fight the hunter.

As he finally takes down the hunter, two more jump out out of nowhere, attacking Mando. The child and I watch as Mando pulls his pulse rifle from his back. He shocks one of the hunters and hits another. One of the hunters runs past Mando and towards the child and I. I throw my body in front of the child, not sure what else to do. I look at Mando as I hear his rifle charge and he aims it at the hunter. He pulls the trigger and the hunter disintegrates. Mando lowers his rifle and we look over towards a beeping sound. There lies two tracking fobs. I step closer and the beeping increases on one of them. I look back up at Mando as he stares down at the trackers.

There's a bounty on me?

~

Mando, the child, and I sit in an open area on a couple rocks. The child and I watch as Mando tries to cauterize a wound he apparently received from the hunters.

As he grunts, I decide to ask, "Are you okay?"

"I'm fine," he replies almost angrily.

"I didn't know there was a bounty on me."

He stops what he's doing and looks up at me, "You're a runaway princess, of course there is going to be a bounty on your head."

"Are you going to turn me in?"

"I don't know."

A silence settles over us again as he goes back to trying to cauterize the wound. I watch him a little while longer before speaking up again.

"I can't go back, Mando, I really can't," I pull my knees to my chest and rest my chin on top of my knees, "My coronation was supposed to be this month. I was to be Queen of Corellia. And then, the week after, I'd marry Prince Anosek of Onderon. But I didn't want that. I don't want that." At this point, Mando had once again stopped what he was doing and was watching me. "I told you that I couldn't protect or defend myself but I want to learn how. I want to live out my life. I don't want to become queen and marry some man that I don't even love."

"I'm sorry, I just can't keep traveling with you when you have a bounty on your head. They'll keep coming for you and I'll be considered a traitor. I'm sorry, Adele, but I have to turn you in."

"It's Adeline."

"What? But you told me-"

"I know. I do that to every new person I meet. I can't risk revealing my identity. But you already know everything so what's the harm of knowing my true name?"

He nods his head slightly and returns back to his wound. I get up from the rock I'm sitting on and lay down in a more flat area. As I feel myself drifting to sleep, I feel a cloth being draped over me.

~

"Wake up," I hear a modulated voice say. I slowly open my eyes and take in my surroundings. The sun is slowly rising. Mando and the pram are standing next to me. Mando's cape is draped over my body. "It's time to go. We're heading back to the ship." I stand up and take the cape off of my body, handing it back to the Mandalorian.

After walking for hours, we arrive at Mando's ship to see a group of Jawas stripping it for parts. Mando pulls out his pulse rifle and aims at the creatures. He disintegrates a few Jawas and they all take off running and screaming towards their sand crawler.

"Mando, stop!" I say. He stands up and starts chasing after the fortress, the child and I trying to follow as fast as we can. He jumps onto the side of the fortress, beginning to climb it.

What is wrong with this man? He's going to get himself hurt. I watch as a Jawa opens a flap on the side of the fortress and looks down at Mando. He continues to climb as the fortress is brought closer to the side of a rock wall.

I stop and take a quick breath in, "Mando, watch out!"

He turns his head to see the rock wall nearing closer to him. I continue running after the fortress, panic rising as I hear the fortress making contact with the rock. Once it is past it, I see Mando stand on a ledge of the fortress, looking around before continuing his ascent. The Jawas then begin to throw things over the side, aiming for Mando. He shoots off his grappling hook, using it to help him up the side of the fortress. As he passes a window, a Jawa reaches out and shocks him. He lets out a groan before continuing up. Two of the Jawas try to cut his line but it is too late for he has reached the top. He stands there for a couple minutes before I watch his body jerk and then fall off of the fortress. His body hits the ground beneath him with a heavy thud.

I run up to him and try to grab his head but am shocked by an electricity pulsing through his body, "Ah! Dank farrik!" Mando continues to lay there, unmoving. I look over at the child, "What do we do, kid?" The child coos in response. I nod my head, pretending to take his answer into consideration, "Or, we can just wait." I move from my knees to my butt and I sit there, waiting for the Mandalorian to wake.
