Louis' P.O.V

I took my boxers off, tossing them into the basket and stepping into the shower. I turned the shower on and cold water started flowing on me, giving me goosebumps. I sighed, it was always good to take a cold shower in the morning, it makes you wake up properly.

It was the Christmas morning and also my birthday.

20. I was getting old.

Most of our cousins, family friends and our nan were coming over for a Christmas dinner tonight. Mom and Lottie had started cooking early in the morning and I had woken up around 7am. I layed on my bed for two hours and now I was showering.

I had tried to call and text Harry multiple times yesterday and even this morning but he just wasn't picking up. I haven't even posted his Christmas gift yet, I had forgotten to do that yesterday and when I did remember, the post office was already closed. It would never make it to Holmes Chapel this week if I send it now, so I would just give it to Harry when I'd see him the next time. I hadn't even recieved a present from Harry himself, which was weird.

"Oh c'mon Louis! I need to shower today too! Hurry up!" Lottie yelled from outside the bathroom.

"You got all day for Gods sake!" I yelled back, "I'll be out in five." I had already washed my hair so I would be done soon.

I turned the shower off and hopped out. I crabbed a white towel, wrapped it around my waist and unlocked the door, bumping into Lottie.

"Well finally!" She walked pass me and slammed the door just behind me. The guests were coming in six hours so, I had no idea why my sister was in such a rush. I shook my head, girls.

I put a dark-red button up and black jeans on, glancing at the mirror. I quiffed my hair quickly and put some Calvin Klein perfume on. It may be a bit too much for a family Christmas, but I just wanted to look nice for once. It was a bit more special day after all, wasn't it?

I walked downstairs and sat on the couch. I turned the telly on, Family guy was coming up next. I let the ladies do the job in the kitchen, not even bothering to offer my help. I would probably ruin it if I tried to do something to help them even a little.

Some of our cousins arrived within ten minutes, Joe and Phil joined me watching Family guy. I used to be close with them when I was younger but now it was just awkward. I tried to keep up a little converstation, asking them about their school and all - just like my godfather used to do - but I made it even more awkward so I went back to my room. I hoped my nan would come over soon, she was a lovely lady and I always got on with her really well.

It was six o'clock now and we were about to start eating dinner. Nan had arrived and she gave me a furry, lovely jumper she had made for me herself. I put it on and she was really happy about me liking it.

We ate our dinner, it was really nice when everyone was chatty and happy. I joked around a bit and specially nan had a great time. She was adorable.

After we had finished, we all went to the living room to give the gifts for each other. I gave nan a pair of pink, fluffy slippers which she really loved.

"Oh, thank you Louis. These are lovely," She thanked, giving me a warm hug and a kiss on the cheek. "Here's something more for you too, since it's your birthday." She hissed into my ear, giving me a white envelope.
