okay so a little difference from the story, Alya doesn't have a dad (idk i feel like he didn't fit well in this story) , and they live in a massive house, not like the one Alya lives in Miraculous.
more details will be in further chapters😎

ALYA POV

Summer was hell.

My mother had spent most of it talking to me about college and boring school shit, trying to convince me.

After highschool, I planned on just abandoning everything. I wanted to be free. I didn't want to be stuck in some shithole for a long time, but I didn't have a choice.

My mother signed me up for Fránce Dupònt College last June and I would attend right after the 31st of August. Which was tomorrow.

Usually I would just run away for a few days or do something dramatic but no matter how much I fought, I knew I would still end up going.

"ALYA!" My mom yells, pounding on my door.

I quickly throw my phone across my bed, hiding any evidence of god knows what.

She opens the door and frowns with her arms crossed. "Why haven't you packed?" she questions, walking towards me grabbing a box by the door and starting to shovel my clothes that sat nicely on my metal rack.

"Mom! Don't touch those, they're hung up for a reason," I walk over to her and snatch the box from under her arms, rearranging the clothes to sit nicely.

She sighs at my remarks. "How on earth do you expect to be ready by morning?" Do you have your sheets packed?" she questions, sitting on my bed and looking at me. I sigh back and notice a sad expression on her face.

My mother may be forcing me to go to college, but she's only doing it so I don't end up like my older sister.

My sister didn't go to college when she graduated. She instead, took an intern job and made very little money. She told my mom she'd never attend College, and now she lives in the basement.

"Mom, I'm gonna be okay. You don't have to worry about me," I reassure. I put my hands on her shoulder and she looks up at me with tears in her eyes.

She grabs me to hug me tightly to the point where I can't breathe. "I'm gonna miss you my little bug," she breathes. She pulls away and takes a deep breath.

I feel a tingle in my eyes and they start to swell with tears. "I'm gonna miss you so much too, Mom."

She stands up and we hug again. Wiping her tears on the collar of her shirt, she clears her throat."Okay, let's save the dramatics for tomorrow, now pack!" she winks, slamming the door shut.

I turn to look at my room. The purple walls were still covered in Jagged stone posters and lighting bolts my little sisters and I painted a couple years back. I grab more boxes and fill them up with all my stuff until all I have left is my bed. I drop down onto my queen mattress and let myself bounce.

Jesus.

Fucking college.

I stare at the ceiling and let my lungs breathe full deep breaths.

I am so not ready.
