Lilliana's POV
"Liliana Potter!"
I quickly scampered off Draco's lap, as if beimg caught doing something illegal. Well, maybe it is illegal.
I could recognise that voice from anywhere, it's the voice of my dearest twin brother.
Harry Potter
"Fuck," I muttered under my breath, oblivious to the pained look Malfoy was wearing because of my previous actions. I looked up to meet the emerald green eyes of my brother, a mirror to my own eyes. Except, his eyes were filled with loathing, anger and disgust. I mentally winced, he'd never directed that look towards me before.
"This is what you're doing?!" Harry practically yelled, staring in between Draco and I with anger. It didn't help that Draco glared at him, attempting to wrap an arm around my waist - an action I rejected.
"What are you doing here?" I interjected, hoping to be able to change the topic and avoid this conversation until he's calmed down.
"Nothing you'd care about," he glared at me.
"Its not what you think!" I tried, my eyebrows furrowed in hurt. He's my brother, he'd understand... Right?
I barely acknowledged Draco's presence, completely caught up with my own problem.
"Oh yeah?" He started. "Because it looks like my sister is shagging a fucking Malfoy. What else would it be?!"
Ignoring the Draco's pained side glances directed towards me, I stepped up to him, summoning as much confidence as I could. "I'm not fucking shagging him," I glared back, my angre finally seeping out of me and taking control. "I had no choice, I didn't!"
Harry raised any eyebrow in my direction, not believing a single word I said. "What? You think I'd believe that?" He glared back with just as much intensity. "I just saw you shove your tongue down his throat, tell me I saw wrong Lily. Tell me you're not actually considering Malfoy."
I looked down at the ground, suddenly finding the grass very interesting. I didn't know what to say, was I considering Malfoy? I looked beside me, only to find that Malfoy had already walked away, leaving me in this situation alone.
Harry shook his head at, I could practically see the frown on his face without even having to look up.
"You could've told me, I wouldn't have cared if it was Malfoy!" The betrayal in his voice was painfully evident. I looked up at him, only to see him staring at me blankly. "Why? Am I not important enough?"
"No!" I immediately said without hesitation. "I was going to tell you I swear! I just...." I trailed off, I didn't have any actual excuse other than the fact that I was too scared to tell him.
"I have to go get the signed document from Professor McGonagall, I'll see you next week Lils."
He walked away from me with another shake of his head, mumbling under his breath. I could feel my heart drop to the ground, I lied about something this big to my own brother.
I heaved a sigh, walking back towards the castle feeling rather glum. Just when I thought I was going to have a decent day.
So caught up with my own problems, I momentary forgot about the blond boy that had caused this problem to start with.
------ .・゜゜・.・゜゜・------
It was nearing the end of dinner, obviously I had decided not to attend it. I haven't talked to Hermione or Ginny since my encounter with Harry. I was somewhat scared he'd told Ginny as well, but I thought better of it. No matter how upset he is, he wouldn't do that to me, I just know it.
I paced around my room, I hadn't heard from Draco since the afternoon as well. He hadn't come out of his room, neither has he responded whenever I knocked, everything was just irritatingly silent. I was halfway convinced he wasn't even in his room, but the map told me otherwise.
I groaned, unable to take the silence any longer. Marching out of my room and over to the one opposite it, I knock a few times. "Draco? I know you're in there, please at least say something."
Silence. That was all I got in response. Sighing, I turn around to leave, but immediately stop after the smallest - almost silent - creak of the door catches my attention.
I quickly turn around, grateful that the blond finally responded. But I frowned as soon as I saw the state he was in.
His eyes were bloodshot red, surprisingly no longer glowing like they usually do. His hair was a mess, as if he'd just woken up and he there was a tile imprint on his pale cheek. I took it as he probably fell asleep on the floor. What shocked me was that his wings were out, resting lowly from his back and tearing large holes onto the back of his shirt. His skin was paler than usual, which was already saying a lot on its own, giving him a sickly gaunt look.
"What?" He snarled, snapping me out of my daze like stupor.
I stared at him, a frown slowly making its way to my lips. "Are you okay?"
"What does it look like?" he said, his voice thick with sarcasm. He hasn't been acting like this towards me at all this year, surprisingly, so this really had me taken aback.
"No?"
"Exact—"
He immediately shut his mouth, his jaws going rigid as he squeezed his shut. He leaned against the door, his breathing coming in shallow pants. Without thinking, I ran to his side, worry evident in my expression.
"Get.. Off." He growled, taking small pauses in between. He was clearly in pain, but why was he pushing me away?
"Fuck, Draco, what's going on?" I asked, refusing to leave his side and trying to get him to calm down.
Draco groaned in agony, tears filling his eyes as he leaned away from me. I couldn't help but feel a little hurt by that, but I refused to show. 'There are more important things going on,' I reminded myself.
"What's happening?" I asked again, taking a step towards him. After a moment of hesitation, I pulled him in for a hug, hoping it wouldn't cause him more pain.
Surprisingly, he almost immediately leaned into the hug, his body relaxing and his breathing seeming to go back to normal. But he still kept his eyes squeezed shut, refusing to open them. Any signs of his earlier pain gone completely, as if it never happened in the first place.
"What happened?" I ask, pulling away slightly.
He shook his head, finally opening his eyes to look at me. They were filled with regret and... Something else I couldn't quite understand.
"You happened." And with that, he walked back into his room, leaving me behind with all my confused thoughts and unanswered questions.
"Its my fault.... Again."
