"I have to go to the perfect's compartment. I'll see you later, alright?" Hermione said to Liliana as they boarded the train.
"Alright then, I'll see you later Mione." Liliana waved her friend goodbye.
She picked up her luggage and turned around but ran right into someone.
"Shot. Sorry I was-"
She stopped mid sentence as she caught a glimpse of the person she had bumped into. Draco Malfoy. Great, just when I thought I was going to have a decent normal year, Liliana thought to herself as she looked at Draco and his two cronies standing beside him, Pansy Parkinson and Blaise Zabini. Draco had gotten much taller and muscular than he was before, his broad shoulders, sharply defined jaws, skinny but muscular figure and dazzling stormy grey blue eyes. Damn, puberty did him good.
"Only one? Where's the other Potter? Or has he-" Pansy was interrupted by Draco, who was now glaring at the Slytherin girl. "Zip it Parkinson." He practically growled.
Both, Pansy and Liliana, stared at Draco in shock while Blaise just merely rolled his eyes at his friend. "Whatever," Pansy mumbled before walking away, leaving her friends behind.
"Ignore her Potter, she's just trying to attract attention," Draco said with a soft smile as he brushed past a very confused and slightly shocked Liliana Potter.
Liliana shook her head, trying to clear her thoughts. She had so many questions, but decided to ignore them for now and search for her friends.
Liliana passed by several full compartments, occasionally saying hello or waving at people, before she found her friends, inside a compartment at the near end of the train. She slid the compartment door open and entered, sliding the door shut behind her.
"Hey Lily, what took you so long?" Ginny, who was sitting next to Luna Lovegood, asked. "Sorry, I got distracted." Liliana replied with a sheepish smile as she stored her luggage in the little space overhead the seats, before sitting down opposite of them.
"Hello Liliana, it's nice to see you again." Luna said in her usual innocent dreamy-like voice.
"Hi Luna, it's nice to see you as well," Liliana said with a small smile, which Luna returned without any hesitation.
Luna and Ginny had struck up a conversation about some magical creature Liliana didn't bother to find out about. Instead, she stared out the window, thinking back to her earlier encounter with the Slytherin prince.
She scowled in confusion and slight annoyance as she thought back to the, somewhat, awkward and weird interaction with Malfoy. How is he allowed back into school? Why is he even bothering to come back to school? Had he really stopped one of his friends from, possibly, insulting me? Did Draco Malfoy really smile, really genuinely smile at me? And the real main question, how did Malfoy become so bloody attractive and tall over the break?!
