Chapter 13

"How was you're pasta" Alice asked kinda out of the blue " it was ..good I guess ,thanks" she smiled at me and I did the same back " let's go , you're dads probably waiting for you now and I don't want to get on his bad side" he probably was worried by now ,I nodded and waited for Alice to do the same before making my way to her car because I didn't want to seem rude or suspicious , well I was suspicious she was hiding something but I didn't want her to know , maybe she did know and was doing the same thing . " here you go " I must have zoned out because next thing I knew Alice was opening the passenger side of her car door for me " oh thank you " I played it off with a smile but she clearly could see something strange and decided to not push on it thankfully for me. " so how's forks going for you , are you enjoying it ?" She half joked knowing that when I first arrived I wasn't too keen on the idea of staying somewhere with more rainfall then people " it's starting to grown on me kinda " I looked at her side profile and smiled , she was so charming to both look at and to be in her presence " any particular reason why it's growing on you " now I knew she was being her charming self because she didn't even take her eyes off of the road but she knew my exact reaction , I could tell by the smirk on her face " maybe but that's private " I blushed even though I think we both knew it was her " ok well in that case I will leave it there " this time she looked at me and smiled " thanks ".

I waited a good while before opening the book I had purchased I guess I was over come with anxiety about what I might read , I didn't want to find something and be the person to make assumptions and end up being wrong and that costing me my relationship with Alice. " just open it " I said to myself as if I was my own hype man , I grabbed it sick of the feeling in the pit of my stomach and climbed onto the chair by my desk so i could rest my book on a flat surface . I opened the book and scanned down the page numbers and stopped at one that was all to familiar , it was about a human like creature that they described as a monster with pale skin , inhuman to touch , speed and strength like some sort of animal and a constant urge for blood. It all fit with Alice her speed and strength defiantly showed because I wouldn't be alive if she didn't stop that van and she was defiantly pale and had cold hands but I never seamed to see an urge for blood , there was defiantly something un human about this girl and if I was going to get answers I was going to have to suggest that I thought she was a creature from a book which would be fun.

I placed the book into my draw out of harms way ,well rather my dad , and clambered off of the chair and to my bed where I thought I was going to sleep but I could not fall asleep at all , probably the nerves of what I was going to face tomorrow at school. I reached for my phone after being sat still for about 4 hours and jumped when I saw something in the corner of my room , it looked like Alice but I put my lamp on just to check , once I turned back to that spot there was nothing there but a few jackets " I swear I need to sleep " I fell back down on my back with a huff and this time I actually managed to drift off into sweet slumber.

Todays the day , I knew what I had found and I knew that I wasn't going to mess around with waiting until the end of the day , Alice was going to tell me and she was going to do it now. I pulled my truck in to a spot far away from Alice but she still knew where to find me , I looked her in the eyes and carried on walking towards the large forest that surrounded our school , I didn't have to do anything because out of the hundreds of students I could feel one following me. I stayed facing away from her scared of what she would do once I spoke "you're  impossibly fast and strong " now I could feel her presence , it was as if she was burning holes in my back "you're skin is pale white and ice cold" she was keeping her distance I could tell but now I could hear her slowly walking towards me "you're eyes change colour and some times you speak like..like you're from a different  time" I could tell she had stopped right behind me ,her hand slightly brushed against mine and I could tell she was resisting the urge to hold it by the way her fingers curved "you never eat or drink anything, you don't go out in the sunlight ...how old are you?" by this point I was growing anxious "18" her voice sounds weak and quiter then usual which hurt me"how long have you been 18?" this time I made sure to make my voice slightly softer " a while". I took in a Sharpe breath and let the words fall out " I know what you are " she grabbed me by my shoulders and spun me around " say it Bella , what do you think I am " I looked down and tried to sink the lump in my throat " a vampire".
