I knocked on the door three times. Skye Tower was chilly today as the air had its wintry scent, smoky and clean like bonfires in the distance.
The curtains from the house were half-closed, light from the TV spilling through the gaps. The hallway light clicked on.
"Oh, Yoona! It's been a while," Changmin's mother greeted me with welcoming arms. "Come in. It's cold out there."
I bowed as I went in. Inside it was warm and cozy like always. The smell from the kitchen was fantastic, making me hungry.
"Hey, kid. You even got prettier," His dad greeted me from the sofa. "Thank you, sir." I smiled at him.
"Don't you think so? Yeongwo ah?" He asked for his wife's help, which caused a simi-couple quarrel. Damn...I miss mom."Excuse us," She said with a guilty smile. "It's been a while he took a day off from work so he's being this."
"Don't even worry Eomoni. It's a good sight to see." Both of them smiled shyly."Yoona?" I turned around to see Changmin with a skateboard in his arms. "Hi, Ming ah. Did you have fun?"
He nodded and we continued our conversation as we went upstairs after taking leave from the lovely couple."Want some?" He handed me a box of sweets as we both sat down on the bed.
I shook my head. "I need your help."I told him about the boyz' messages and the trip to Dom. He sat and listened to me, munching on the sweets.
"Whoa," His eyes glazed when I finished.
"This is fanfiction material."I sighed. We looked at each other. I already knew what he was about to say. "I know. I know. But it's a whole weekend away. And things are really weird between my dad and me now."
"Cuz of that time?" I nodded.
"You still haven't asked him about it?" I nodded again. I buried my face into my hands. "Everything is too complicated. Why do they have to connect?! It makes it way harder.""You could take your brother's notebook, show it to Juyeon, and then-"
"I can't just run away, Ming. And I've already used all the cover stories I could think of."Changmin looked at me in silence, then turned to his laptop and started typing away. I watched as he opened up some kind of graphic program and loaded a file.
"You've come to the right place, the customer." He said, stretching his hands. "I have got this covered."

Dad was in his study, he was concentrating hard on his work, muttering figures to himself.
"Dad." He didn't hear me. I called him again. He spun around on his chair. The dark circles on his face were getting worse.
"Oh, Yoona. Sorry, I'm a bit..." He sighed. "Everything alright?"
I looked around the room. It was all in here, somewhere. His papers, works, and the remnants of the past.
"Yeah, I'm fine."I looked at Dad, and a strange heat, a feeling called "shame" kicked in, spreading into my whole body.
"I shouldn't have barged in here without asking you first. I'm sorry, Dad."
He looked surprised. He removed his glasses."Well...I suppose, but. Not to worry."
I fingered the letter in my pocket.
"You sure nothing's bothering you?" He said sadness rose in my chest. I swallowed it back down."Yep, I came in because..." I took out the letter and unfolded it. "I'm going on a writers' weekend on Friday, with the school. I thought I should remind you."
