I looked at the woman and wondered why I hadn't run away yet. I was about to run, but she pushed me back. Not hard, just forcefull enough to put me back in my place. I gulped in fear because I knew she was looking for the one person everyone was looking for. Me. 

''I'm not going to hurt you, I just want to know why you're all alone here. Where are your parents kid?'' did she had to ask that? I hated that question. '' They are at home.'' I saw that she didn't believe me. ''Let me walk you home.'' ''No, I can walk myself thanks.'' ''How old are you.'' ''12'' That wasn't a lie, I really was 12. ''What's your name?'' ''What's yours?'' ''Maria Hill.'' Okay well I didn't expect her to actually give me an answer. ''I'm Alexa Peters, but just call me Alex.'' it wasn't that I didn't fell at ease, I just didn't want to go back to the orphanage. ''Well Alex, I believe that you are the kid that the whole city is looking for.'' ''I think you are talking to the wrong person ma'am.'' ''I don't think so... but I wanna offer you something. I think you didn't run away without a reason.'' I just shook my head ''I work for S.H.I.E.L.D. Strategic Homeland Intervention, Enforcement and Logistics Division, an exra-governmental military counter-terrorism and intelligence agency, tasked with maintaining both national and global security. We've seen a lot of potential in you and would really like to recruit you, both training you to protect global security and give you a new family. If you would like that of course.''

I couldn't process what she just had said. ''I don't like it, I love it!'' ''Great! We're good Nat.'' I only then noticed the redhead standing at the end of the alleyway. I laughed softly. I hadn't even noticed.

''Hi, I'm Natasha Romanoff, but just call me Nat. Nice to meet you.'' ''I'm Alexa Peters, but call me Alex, nice to meet you too.'' ''Okay, girls enough talk. Come on.'' ''Where are we going?'' ''The orphanage. We're going to adopt you.''

''How did you find me?'' ''We have some pretty cool stuff back at headquarters.'' Maria said. ''Oh look, there it is!'' 

''Ah, Alexa, finally there you are. Thank you for bringing her back.'' said the receptionist. ''No problem, but we're not here to bring her back. We've come to adopt her.'' Maria said. She squeezed my hand lightly. ''Uhm, you sure?'' ''Yeah, 100% sure.'' ''Okay you can come with me to sign the adoptionpapers.'' ''Great.'' 

A few minutes later we walked out of the building... 

I never needed to go back there.

We walked to the so called 'Quinjet' and while Maria was flying the thing, I had a conversation with Nat. ''So Alex, tell me something about yourself. Where are you from?'' ''I was born in Sokovia, but when I was 6 we moved to Norway. And after...an accident..I was send to the orphanage.'' ''Do you have any powers?'' ''Yes, but I don't know what.'' ''Well if we are starting with training, just know that I'm not an expert at powers.'' ''Nat, none of us really are. But we will come to that later.'' ''It's okay, honestly we will figure it out. I know the pieces will fall into each other eventually. That's nothing to worry about now.'' ''Okay girls, we're almost there.'' I looked outside and saw an enormous building.

After we went to see Nick Fury, Nat gave me a tour. We first went to the main room, then to the labaratories, then the training room and last my own room. It was a big, light room. ''I hope you like it. You're on the same floor as me and Maria so if you need anything you only have to ask.'' I didn't really knew what to say. I think Nat saw that I was a bit uneasy, so she just said ''Come on, I will help you unpacking.'' ''Thanks'' a few minutes later we both where unpacking my stuff in silence...

A/N: I'm planning on making one or two more chapters on her past (as in when she was living at S.H.I.E.L.D) and then make a time skip to AUO. If you have any idea's let me know in the comments.
