(Amaryllis's POV)

"What time do you have to leave?"

"I open at ten which means I have to leave in thirty minutes."

"Look what I found." Dad said as he walked into the room with a box in hand.

"What is that?"

"I've finally been cleaning your old room out and came across this box full of photos." He smiled.

My dad has always been a big picture guy. Always had a camera of some kind with him wherever we went. He wanted to have something we could remember each precious moment with.

"Ohh look at this one. You were so cute." He said, holding up an old photo of me when I was a toddler.

He handed it to me and I couldn't help but laugh at myself. I was wearing a dress and sitting in moms flowerbed covered in dirt.

"Tempus fugit." I smiled.

Mom sighed. "Latin? Won't you ever stop with the Latin? What does that mean?"

"It means time flies and I won't stop. I learned plants and flowers through their Latin names. Plus I find it to be a.... fun language."

"Fun because it's technically a dead language and no one understand what you're saying?"

"See, dad gets it." I smiled.

We looked at old photos for the next fifteen minutes before I had to leave.

"Have a good day. Love you." Mom said as I left.

"Love you both."

I got to the shop to see an unusual sight. A car was waiting in front of the store. I usually get a few hours in before a customer arrives or calls.

I unlocked the door, flipped on the lights, and flipped the sign to open. The door opened as I was taking off my coat.

"How can I help you?" I asked, turning around only to be surprised yet again.

It was the very handsome man from the convenience store.

I grinned. "Small world."

He looked just as surprised as I was. His friend looked confused.

"I'm Vick. This is M-"

"Lincoln. Call me Lincoln or Linc for short." He said, sticking his hand out.

I gave him a smile and shook his hand. His hand engulfed mine and felt very warm. It was....nice.

"Amaryllis. You can call me Mary, Amy, Rill, Lissy, or whatever else you can come up with. I've heard them all. I'm partial to Amari though."

"Nice to meet you, Amari." He smiled.

"What can I do for you?"

He reached into his pocket and pulled out a very wilted flower. I instantly recognized where it was from.

"Can you tell me what kind of flower this is?"

I couldn't help but laugh. "Amaryllis."

"What?"

"That's the flower. It's an Amaryllis flower."

"A flower is named after you?" Vick asked with a look of confusion.

"I'm named after the flower."
