When we got to the doctors we filled out her form and waited to be called
"You okay babyeh"I asked she shook her head
I pulled her on my lap and kissed her forehead she curled into a ball laying on my chest
"April King"the nurse called
I picked her up and carried her on my hip we got a few stares but I didn't care this my babyeh I gotta make sure she's okay I sat her on the bed and sat in the chair next to her
"Alright sweetheart were just going to check your weight and height the normal things and just tell me why you're here and the doctor should be in shortly"the nurse said they did all that shit and April sat back down we waited a few min in silence till the doctor came in
"Hello April how are you today"she gave us a warm smile
"I feel terrible my stomach is killing me and so is my head I gained weight to which is odd"she said
"Well there is a possibility that you could be pregnant"
When she said that my heart damn near stopped me and April haven't actually talked about kids since her miscarriage
"Oh.."April said quietly I grabbed her hand rubbing it softly
"There is nothing to be afraid sweetheart how about you go and give me a sample and we can go from there"the doctor handed her a cup April grabbed it and ventured off to the bathroom
"Is there any reason why she would be scared?"the doctor asked
"Baby girl had a miscarriage when we were 19 we talked about kids but not really talked"I explained she nodded
"If she is pregnant it's going to be alright and it's okay to be scared I had a miscarriage when I was young me and my husband went through a really tough time but now we have 3 beautiful daughters and I wouldn't have it any other way"she said April walked back in and handed her the cup
"It should take 5 minutes for the results y'all just sit tight"she walked out
"August I'm scared what if I am pregnant what if something happens to the babyeh what if I'm not a good parent what if-"I cut her off
"Babyeh ya stressing when ya stressing I'm stressing so please calm down there aren't no what if's were going to be good calm down babyeh"

I took a deep breath as the doctor walked back in she had the results
"I have the results..."she opened the envelope
"You are pregnant 2 weeks to be exact"
I looked at August who had a smile on his face
"I'm pregnant"I repeated to myself and smiled I was going to be a mother
"The main thing that causes unhealthy pregnancies is stress so No Stressing at all August make sure she doesn't stress come back every month for a check up so at the end of this month I will be your doctor for this whole pregnancy and congratulations guys"
We thanked her and walked when got in the parking lot August lifted me up and spun me around
"My babyeh having a babyeh you just made me the happiest man in the world"he smiled at me which caused me to smile he hugged me tight
"I luh ya Forever"
