It was Rima

The makeup lady I had seen the past few days, the one that bandaged my cuts. Well at least we won't have to have that conversation. She ushered me in

Rima - Come in my darling come in

The strong scent of something tomatoey hit my nose. I melted at the smell, it was amazing. We walked into the house as I put my coat on a coat peg next to us and slipped my shoes off next to some familiar looking shoes that I couldn't identify but I was sure I had seen them before

Rima - We're having homemade spaghetti bolognese I hope that's okay

Allie - That's actually one of my favourites

She smiled at me and plodded on back to the kitchen. I walked through the corridor, there was one question on my mind.

Allie - Is it just you alone here Rima?

Rima - Oh no my husband should be down any minute. Darling Allie's here

She shouted up the small curving suitcase

- Coming

I knew that voice anywhere. Footsteps began descending the stairs, I saw the shoes first then the shirt untucked and the top button undone. I knew exactly who this was before I even looked at his face

Alan

He continued down the stairs. I realised I was gawping at him. It all made sense now, him leaving early, the shoes at the door, him telling me he's 'sorting it' and of course he was married to Rima had I been bothered to read the last bit of her name tag I would have known it said Rickman on the end. I felt planted to my spot, like my feet were in gravel shoes. I waited till he got the bottom of the stairs

Rima - Tea's ready Allie!

Rima shouted from the kitchen. Alan smiled down at me

Alan - Well come on then tea will be cold

I couldn't stop myself. I grabbed around his belly and hugged him tightly, I began to tear up as I realised I may actually now have a chance

Allie - Thank you

I whispered into his shoulder. He wrapped his rms around my shoulder and squeezed me tightly. I felt home, I felt happy. He unravelled himself from me and placed his arm round my shoulder.

Alan - Now out of interest, are you now dating Tom Felton?

I smiled up at him as his eyebrows furrowed together.

Allie - Maybe

I replied

We sat down at the table. It was a small table, perfect for 3 people. Rima came bursting out of the kitchen with heaps of steaming pasta piled on grey plates. She placed a steaming plate in front of me with more food than I've ever eaten in my life. I couldn't express how happy I was, I finally had a real family. I felt home. It felt right. My thought was interrupted by my sudden urge to eat the tomatoey goodness in front of me.

Allie - Thank you so much for this, for all of it

A few hours past, the clock hit 7 o'clock, I felt like I had been here 30 seconds. We finished dinner, we made jokes and Alan told stories. I laughed so much water came tumbling out of my nose at one point, of course we all erupted into laughter after that. They gave me a tour of the house. And more importantly, my bedroom, it was literally the most gorgeous room I have ever seen. It was right at the top of the house, the attic. The ceiling and all the walls were painted sky blue the bed was made of grey and white sheets arranged in a mandala design. There was a gorgeous vanity with a mirror with little lights around it.

Rima - Sorry it's not much, we'll take you shopping tomorrow if you like, to get some new clothes and things for your room

I could see how much she wanted me to like it, they both stood in the doorway. I wrapped my arms around their shoulders and pulled them into a hug

Allie - It's perfect

And I meant that
