Concept: You’re a witch and you use too much power to save Jeremy that it really hurts you but you don’t care because Jeremy was still here .

Something seemed very wrong about the new job that you and Jeremy had gotten, everything seemed to laid out like someone was putting the pieces in place for you and you were both wary of the hunt but there were still innocent people that may benefit from you both taking it on so you continued despite your feelings. You and Jeremy had been hunting together for years and you had been friends for much longer, you were his first and only partner, there was a bit of hiccup in your relationship when he found out about the supernatural and that you were keeping your secret from him but he quickly got over it and you helped him train and went out on hunts with him. Having a witch around made things easier and your coven specialised in battle magic so you had a lot of offensive and defensive spells at your disposal.

Your current job was in a forest off of a small town in West Virginia, the town itself was quiet and the people seemed to get along just fine it was clear that there were people that didn't know about the supernatural and then there were the people that hired you, they said that they didn't know what was terrorising the town, the bodies were never found so they could never see the damage that was done, it sounded like it had to be a vampire that was trying to cover its tracks, werewolves would have left to bodies to be found. So you set up for a vampire hunt. When you got out into the forest you started thinking that this wasn't going to end well, your eyes scanned everything around you and then you saw the large shape moving to your left. "Did you see that?" You asked voice low and Jeremy nodded but didn't say anything more, in a sudden turn of events you have knocked away from Jeremy you back slamming against the tree, Jeremy turned to you "I'm fine, it's definitely a vampire."
"Go away!" You looked over to see that there was a teenager standing there.
"We can't do that, you're hurting people here." You said as you stood up.
"I only hurt the people that came looking for us." She answered.
"They came looking for you?" You asked as you stepped forward.
"Hunted us." She confirmed and you nodded.
"We won't hurt you unless you hurt us. You said there were others like you... How many?" You asked.
"More than you." That was someone else and when you turned you saw that Jeremy had been hit this time, your eyes moved around the clearing looking for the best way to get out of this situation but there didn't really seem to be a way without fighting them, Jeremy was back on his feet by the time that you had decided this and the girl spoke again.
"You are hunters too." She said and you nodded.
"We don't hurt kids, we know a place that you can go where you can both be safe and how to control what you are," Jeremy said and glared.
"Your liars!" She dove forward and you deflected her attack pushing her into a tree, using your magic you kept her pressed against the tree and looked over at Jeremy, the boy had managed to get Jeremy on his back, his crossbow across the clearing from him, you moved your hand to pushed the boy away and in the second you concentration on the girl wavered and she pushed forward she stuck her hand right through your chest and you took in a breath, you put your hand on her arm projecting memories of the Salvatore School hoping that she would believe you, she pulled her hand back as she stumbled away from you, your respective boys coming to your side.
"You'll be safe." You managed to say before coughing. "Hey, Jeremy doesn't bury my body okay?" He rolled his eyes as he cradled your body to his, he knew that you would have performed a spell to protect yourself should you get a fatal injury.
"Come on it's a long journey ahead of us," Jeremy said as he lifted you, he could see the wound knitting itself back together.
"You're still going to take us?" The girl asked, "I killed her."
"You didn't kill her and even if you did, she would want me to take her somewhere safe." He explained gesturing for them to follow you.

You woke up about an hour before they got to the school and when you did you wasted no time in finding out who the two children in the back of the car were and explaining to them what they were going to find, after dropping them off Jeremy was quiet and you know why "I'm fine you know." You said.
"Mm." He hummed. "You have to stop doing that."
"Saving your life?" You asked. "Never you're the most important thing in my life, I don't care how much I get hurt as long as it saves you."
"Yeah and what about me? What do I do when you're gone?" He asked.
"Find yourself a pretty girl." You answered.
"That's not funny." He glared and you sighed.
"Alright I'll be more careful I promise." You said.
