Doomsday
Life Count: Unknown
Dream:
He never thought he would be fighting Sapnap.
His breath came in gasps as he blocked another axe swing to his neck with his purple sword, the clash ringing in his ears. He swung his foot to kick at the dark haired man, but Sapnap caught his foot and twisted it, the snap echoing around the battlefield. Dream gave a yell of pain as he struck back, anger making his swing sloppy but powerful as his fist connected with Sapnap's nose.
"Just stop trying, Dream!" Sapnap shouted, a strange and maniacal laugh bubbling from him as he wiped away the blood on his face. "You're hurt, and you've got nowhere to go!"
"God, your starting to sound like Wilbur now." Dream hissed as ducked an arrow flying past his head from somewhere across the battlefield. "Just shut up already!"
"No, I've got a lot to say!" Sapnap took the moment to try and stab the blond man in the chest, forcing him to twist to the side to avoid the blade. "I'm sick of you avoiding me, treating me like I was nothing! NOTHING! I'M NOT NOTHING!"
"I know your not." Dream stopped, surprising Sapnap, smiling softly. "You're my best friend."
"STOP LYING!" Sapnap yelled, attacking the blond man again with twice as much force, so much anger in his amber eyes. "Your just lying to me again."
Dream opened his mouth to say something but was interrupted by Sapnap punching him in the face. His lip split, blood running down his chin as he retaliated, kicking the dark haired man in the head. They both fell back, panting as Dream wiped blood from his face and Sapnap rubbed the bruise forming on his temple.
"God, your so annoying sometimes." Sapnap hissed, his face twisted into a grimace as he pushed himself back to his fee.
"What do you want me to do, just lay down and die?" Dream laughed as he stumbled upright again, spitting out blood and staining the earth.
"That would be nice." Sapnap growled, his footsteps light as he experimentally swung his axe at the blond haired man. "Or you, Techno and Tommy could just give up and surrender. Then you'd be less of a pain."
Dream tried to say something as he ducked under Sapnap's foot swinging at his head, but he caught an arrow to the shoulder instead. He turned to where the bolt had come from, a little flicker of surprise crossing his face as he saw Fundy holding the crossbow. The fox-masked man gave a little salute, sharp teeth poking from his mouth as he grinned then ran back into the fray.
Like father, like son.
His ears were ringing as another blast shook the earth and he stumbled a bit, almost falling over a dead body on the ground next to him. His foot crunched on broken 3D glasses, the red and blue lenses digging into his ankles as he glanced down at the person. He recognized the brown hair and the unseeing mahogany eyes, a sword pierced through their gut.
Jack Manifold was dead.
One more life taken.
Dream felt a stab of sadness at his friend laying lifeless, but at the same time, relived that it wasn't his family. He had spent most of this battle worrying, flinching at every body like he might see Tommy's face or George with a sword through his throat. He had already seen so many lost, Callahan and Alyssa side by side, Punz at the feet of Wilbur, Ranboo, a kid taken to early, now Jack.
Sapnap had to ruin the moment.
"Looking for your boyfriend?" He snarled, his dark hair whipping as he swung his axe at Dream, forcing the other to block. "Don't bother, he's probably already dead."
