Chapter 11 The Goddess Aqua

Megumin's POV

I was playing in the living room with Rose and Yuzama while Kazuma was out doing a few things. I heard a knock on the front door. "Stay here you two." I said getting up.

"Okay!" They cheered. I headed to the door and opened it to see Aqua and Darkness standing there. "Hello, I've come to bless my niece and nephew." Aqua said. I let out a sigh and let them inside. As they entered the living room, Rose and Yuzama run over to Darkness. "Hi you two, did you miss me?" Darkness asked. They nodded and hugged her. After their hug, they went back to playing on the floor with their toys. "What about me, didn't they miss me?" Aqua asked.

"Well, of course not, the last time you were here is when we were all living together." Someone said. Everyone looked at who was talking. "Daddy's Home!" Rose yelled, running over to him. He lifted her into the air and kissed her forehead. She giggled as Kazuma set her back on the ground. "You were a bit of a leech remember." Kazuma said. Aqua looked at me for help, I smiled and did my best to hold in my laughter. "He's not wrong, you know, but I will say it's a little unfair for you. But it was Kazuma's money and quest finding that got us the house." Megumin said. 

"The thing about it is that fact that you were the one that caused the problem leading up to the house being haunted." Kazuma said. 

"Mommy, what's a leech?" Rose asked.

"Well, it's a thing that normally sucking blood out of you." I answered.

"You were sucking blood out of daddy?" Yuzama asked, looking at Aqua.

"No, I was... I was just living with him and your mommy when we went on adventures." Aqua answered. Kazuma laughed at her answer. "Not to be rude, but a lot of our problems were caused by you trying to solve other problems." Kazuma said.

"I know I messed up, but that's why I can do a lot of things." Aqua said.

"The things you're good at are party tricks." I said.

"Hey, someone needs to be good at something to impress others." Aqua said.

"What can you do?" Rose and Yuzama asked. Aqua pulled out her fans and made little fountains from her hands and one on her head. After they saw what she could do they went back to playing with their toys. "Come on, wasn't that cool?" Aqua asked. They both shook their heads. "Let me just say that they've been working on their own skills, Rose is an archer while Yuzama takes after me and uses magic." I said.

"It's true when I stopped by a while ago they showed off some of their skills and they both impressed me." Darkness said.

"Well then, I think them getting my blessing will help them even more." Aqua said defensively.

"Fine if you want to bless them then go right ahead." Kazuma said. Aqua stood up proud about being able to bless my kids. "We get a blessing from the leech lady?" Yuzama asked.

"Hey!" Aqua shouted. The kids giggled as the walked up to her. She crouched down to their level and placed her hands on their heads. "I granted you the blessing of the goddess Aqua." Aqua said. A light blue light enveloped them for a few seconds before it disappeared. "There we go, you'll now get the blessing from me whenever you need it." Aqua said. Rose and Yuzama turned and came over to me. "Mommy does this me we have leech powers?" Rose asked. I giggled as Aqua was getting upset about being called a leech. "Come on kids I think it's time for you two to take a nap." I said. 

"Aww do we have too?" Rose asked.

"How about you ask dad if he'll tuck you two into bed?" I suggested.

"Daddy! Will you tuck us in?" Yuzama asked running over to Kazuma.

"Yes. Let's go get you two ready for a nap." Kazuma said. The kids ran to their rooms with Kazuma following close behind. "I'm happy you two stopped by, I've been wanting to hang out with some friends recently." I said.

"Really? I mean dealing with all that noble business is getting boring." Darkness said. 

"I get that, I've been working as a waitress at the guild while not helping out around a few other places." Aqua said.

"So shall we go have a girls night out?" I asked. They nodded in agreement and I walked back to Rose and Yuzama's rooms. "Honey?" I asked peeking into Rose's room. He was reading them a story but paused to look at me. "What's up?" He asked. 

"I'm going to go out for the night with Darkness and Aqua is that okay?" I asked.

"Of course, you've had the kids all day and I figured I should take them for the night." Kazuam said.

"Oh thank you, thank you, thank you." I said. I left Rose's room and went to my room to grab a few things.

Kazuma's POV

Once Megumin left the room I turned back to Rose and Yuzama who were eagerly waiting for me to continue the story. "You're not asleep yet?" I asked. They both giggled and looked at me. "No, silly daddy." Rose said. I looked for the spot I left off and continued reading the story, after a few more pages they fell asleep.
