Reincarnated as a cat

New strength

A few days passed, but Fadepaw just learned chores, ticks, bedding, but he would do what he can to the clan.

Today was something Fadepaw was not expecting. 

Waking up seemed normal, he loved the beams of sun that seem to just warm him up. Walking outside his mentor was there waiting for me, "today we're learning some battle training"

Fade paw was extremely happy, he finally gets to learn something cool. Getting some fresh kill, He gulped it down fast with large bites. 

Oakpad led his apprentice out of the thorn barrier and into the sandy hollow. Fadepaw sat down waiting for instructions. 

"first we'll learn to pounce, as it's the basics to battling" and Oakpad crouched down before leaping. He turned around and faced Fadepaw, "now, you try".

Fadepaw got down and tried to copy his movements. He pounced but landed face first in the dirt, Oakpad let out a mmrow of laughter. 

"Make sure you aim with your paws to where you want to go" he instructed. Fadepaw redid what he did and followed what Oakpad instructed. 

He landed a little awkwardly, stumbling a bit, "see, there you go now pounce on that leaf" he said while pointing his tail to a large brown leaf. 

Fadepaw crouched and....pounced! He landed square in the leaf. Oakpad beamed a smile, "great job, you're getting it" Fadepaw felt warm to the praise.

Oakpad moved out the way and tackled Fadepaw, "Rule one: Don't let your guard down". Nodding, Fadepaw heaved with great strength and threw Oakpad over him.

both got up and faced each other, focusing on their opponent, "very good! you're a natural" he praised. Fade paw charged and pounced, but he went over Oakpad.

Oakpad turned around just to see Fadepaw landing. Fade paw gave out a donkey kick as hard as he could. 

Oakpad went flying out of the sandy hollow 

"Oh shit!" Fadepaw yelped, panicking he ran toward Oakpad. Thank go-starclan! Oakpad luckily landed on s soft spot of grass, "By starclan, where did that come from he said in amaze" he said in shock.

Where did it come from?

Fadepaw had no idea, "I am so sorry, are you alright!?" he said in a scared and worry tone. Oakpad got up like normal, "don't worry i"m all good"

Fadepaw was still worried about him, but he didn't seem to have any limp. Both went back to battling but Fadepaw held back his strength.

"no, always have your eyes on your opponent, see, predict, and counter" he instructed. Both cats started circling each other.

Fadepaw walked slowly on the sand, huh sand...wait! sand! and he had an idea. Oakpad made the first move and charged Fadepaw.

Fadpaw could see it as a straight frontal attack, he scooped up an pawfull sand and threw it at his mentor. Oakpad Stumbled, blinded by the sand and shock, he didn't expect that.

seeing his opening, Fadepaw grabbed the scruff of his mentor and judo flipped him over his shoulder. Fadepaw easily flipped him with a little bit of strength.

He still had no idea why he was so strong.

sunset was starting to fall and there, stood two cats panting heavily, "alright, that's enough for today" and so, both headed back to the camp.

Fadepaw was still pondering about what happened earlier, just what was with that? He grabbed a squirrel and munched down on it.   

suddenly, he stopped eating, realizing the answer, to why did he have so much strength...

He was a cat, but he still had the strength of a human. 

He changed physically, but not mentally. 

he curled up into a ball and went deep into sleep.
