Part 5
You woke up in the middle of the night, warmth all around you. You looked up and saw Castiel holding you while you slept. You must have cried yourself to sleep on him. You were embarrassed now. He'd never look at you the same way again. You tried to move away but he held you tighter.
"Go back to sleep." He said with a tired sounding voice.
"But-"
"I don't think those things. It's okay." He said, rubbing his hand soothingly up and down your arm. He was laying on the side of the bed you were going to sleep on, so he wasn't laying on his wound.
"Really?" you asked, looking up at him again. He looked down to you, nodding. You sighed and moved your head so you were pressing your forehead against his chest. This was nice, you felt safe. You now realized and accepted the fact that you might be falling in love with him. You felt him look down at you again. He must have heard that in your head. How embarrassing. He tightened his grip on you. You wrapped your arm around his side, careful not to touch the wound and sighed, trying to fall back to sleep.
You woke up facing your closet. The sound of your alarm was loud in your ears. You groaned and rolled onto your back, turning to see Castiel also laying on his back and look over at you. He smiled.
"Good morning." he said. You smiled back at him and mumbled a good morning back. He rolled over onto his side and propped his head up, looking at you still. "I called Dean last night." he said. You sat up now and tucked your leg under you as you looked around, running your hands through your loose curls.
"Are they injured like you?" you asked, not looking at him. He pulled himself up, holding his side and copying how you sat, looking at you.
"They are okay." he said. "I called him to ask him a few questions, and tell him I was okay, thanks to you." he added. You looked at him now. The sun beamed in behind him, causing a glow. He looked extremely handsome with his messy hair and the morning glow. His hand reached forward and touched your hair.
"I'm glad." You said, watching him play with your hair. His thumb brushed against your cheek then.
"I cleaned the bathroom for you." He said, moving his hand away now.
"You didn't need to do that!" you jumped up out of bed and ran to look across the hall.
"Well, it made you sad..." he explained. "I don't like when you're sad." he mumbled the last part. You turned back and looked at him again. He still sat in the bed looking at you almost puppy-like.
"Thanks Cas." you said. His eyes lit up for a moment. When you didn't move, he looked confused and held his hand out to you. "What?" You tilted your head at him.
"You said thanks." he explained, as if you knew what that meant.
"I did." you said, turning to walk out the door and into the bathroom. You heard him struggle out of bed and his bare feet padded closer. You turned on the water in the sink and prepared to brush your teeth when he came up behind you and spun you around, kissing you on the mouth. You dropped your toothbrush, surprised. His kiss was more assertive now, almost wanting. You moved your arms around his neck when his wrapped around your waist. He went to pull away but you pulled him back, kissing more. Your hands moved to his hair; he tilted his head so he could get a better angle. He pulled you closer to him kissing more. You accidentally pulled his hair a little, when you went to move your hand down to his shoulder, but he let out a small moan and he jumped back in surprise. You saw the confusion on his face and let out a snicker.
"What?" he looked around and then at himself in the mirror.
"You like your hair tugged?" You asked, still leaning comfortably in his arms. He was confused. He'd never made a noise like that before.
"I... I just wanted a kiss for thanks..." his face started to turn red.
"Do you like kisses, Cas?" you asked. He looked at you sternly now.
"No. I like your kisses." he said. You giggled at his response, leaning in to hug him now, resting your head on his chest.
"Well, you can have them whenever you want. But now, I need to get ready." You said looking up and backing away. He nodded and turned to leave the room. You turned around and searched for your toothbrush, cleaned it off from falling on the counter and proceeded to continue getting ready.
You were sitting at your vanity in your bedroom, putting on some makeup for when you went to work. Cas sat on the edge of the bed, watching you in amazement. "What is that?" He asked. You stopped putting on some eyeshadow and looked at him through the mirror.
"Makeup." You said.
"What does it do?" He asked, as you dipped back into the color to add more to your eyes.
"It makes me pretty." You explained. He scoffed at that. You stopped and turned to look at him now. "What?" You asked.
"You don't need that." He said, looking away.
"What do you mean?" You asked, putting the brush down. He looked at you again, then looked to the floor.
"Never mind." he was embarrassed?
"Castiel? Do you think I'm pretty?" You asked, getting up from the chair and walking over to him. He kept glancing and looking away from you as you got closer.
"Yes..." He mumbled, looking out the window. You teased him now.
"What was that? I couldn't hear you?" You dropped down in front of him and looked up, leaning on his knees. You made the cutest face you could muster and kept making cute noises until he looked at you, a smile on his face.
"I think you are very pretty." He laughed. You smiled at him and stood up. Holding his face, you leaned down and kissed him. He smiled up at you. "You're welcome." he said. You started at his face a few moments longer before turning back and quickly finishing your make up.
"I'll be at work until 3pm today. Then I'll go get you some new clothes. I also put your jacket and suit in the wash. Do you need anything else while I'm out?" you asked him. He had followed you to the door as you were getting ready to leave.
"Hm... No. Unless you want to get some of that beer Sam and Dean are always drinking. It's pretty good..." he trailed off.
"Do you know what brand it is?" you asked him, digging through your purse.
"No." You looked up to him again.
"Alright, call Dean and ask him, then call or text me the brand." You instructed, holding out your hand. He looked at your hand confused. "You're phone. I'll add my number." He gave you an Oh and began digging through the pajama pockets and pulled out a flip phone. You made a face and tried not to laugh, typing in your number to his contacts. "I think I'll get you a new phone also..." you said, handing him back the phone.
"What's wrong with this one?" he asked. You showed him your phone, an iPhone, with a bigger screen and a full keyboard. You showed him the phone quickly and he nodded. "Okay. If you want. You said I can go on the internet on this?" he asked.
"Yes."
"That will make research so much easier. I should tell Sam and Dean about this." he turned to dial one of them but stopped. "Oh! See you later." He came closer and kissed your head. You felt it was cute that he associated kisses with thanks. He knew the difference obviously; Dean had explained it to him. But you liked getting kisses every time one of you said thanks. He seemed to be doing a lot better after just one night. He was walking on his own without being in too much pain. His black eye was already healed too. You decided you would change the bandage when you got back home.
