On The Run

Chapter Four

A/N: FINALLY. This. Took. So. Dang. Long.
I don't rlly like it, but eh. I'm not liking a lot of the chapters I post on here. I hope they actually get better eventually.
This chapter is also short. Sorry about that.
Also, next chapter the new character will be introduced (I mentioned them in my at book). Mmmm, who could it be? They were already in my art book before. They were in the first ten parts. See if you can find who it is.
Two spoilers for the dangerous gift in here, sorry.

"Stop flying right into the flames!" FrostSilk yelled.

"What would you know about flying?" Spain snapped.

"A lot more than you do!"

In the middle of their escape plan, the guards saw them flying and gave chase. So, there was no way they could out fly a SkyWing, so they had Feu trying to fight off the guards when they got too close (especially when they got close to Blizzard). She was using flames, but she said that "slamming into them" was her backup plan.

"Stop shouting at each other and just fly!" Seaglass shouted.

Frost hissed as fire brushed her tail. "STOP IT I'M BURNING NOW!"

"STOP SHOUTING WEIRDSILK AND LET SPAIN FLY."

"STOP BUTTING INTO CONVERSATIONS!"

"Whoa whoa whoa!" Spain quickly said. "Stop arguing! Please! I'm trying!"

"I would be fine to fight them myself!" Frost protested. Her claws were serrated again, after turning back to normal, so she would fight just fine. And if they changed back, hey, she had deadly tail spikes.

"They would bring you back to prison and Queen Ceil wouldn't bother having you alive anymore," Blizzard pointed out. "Where are we even going after we escape? I personally think we should go to Queen Mink's palace."

"Pfft. No." Spain said. "Not with the Great Ice Cliff."

"Wasn't that destroyed by Queen Snowfall?" Frost asked.

"SkyWings attacked them, so Prince Turtle remade it, but it won't shoot any dragon that needs to get there in a emergency or are summoned by Queen Mink," Spain explained. "We obviously don't have to get there in a emergency nor have she summoned us, so we would definitely die."

"I think this is enough of a emergency!" Frost exclaimed as more fire brushed her tail. "Also, hello, half IceWing here. Hybrids can get through!"

"So only you and Blizzard go, great!" Eclipse hissed.

Frost huffed. "I meant, we could ask Queen Mink if we could go into her kingdom for safety. She loves everyone."

"So we freeze to death, brilliant idea!" Eclipse snapped. "Don't forget our hatred!"

"That was the crowns spell!" Spain said. "Not the IceWings themselves! Mink and Firefly are like, best friends!"

"Speaking of that," Eclipse said. "Why don't we go to the rainforest kingdom?"

"Oh, great, I get to set the jungle on fire," Feu said. She thought for a second. "On second thought, that would help a lot with my anger..."

"We should go to the Sand Kingdom! Queen Sage is a good queen!" Spain said. Seaglass nodded.

"We will deal with this later when we get to the cave," Feu sang. "Dive into the trees! I'll join you soon!"

"Oh great," Frost said. "DON'T MESS UP SPAIN!"

Spain winced. "Can't we just glide down inste-"

"JUST DO IT, YOU BIRD BRAIN!" Feu roared.

Spain dove down, and while for him it probably just felt like flying, it felt like Frost was just falling to her death

But she didn't die, Spain landed neatly on his talons in the safety of the trees.

"Well, that was the worst thing I ever experienced," Frost said.

"What about the arena?" Seaglass asked.

"I didn't fight. I met you," Frost pointed a claw at her. "So that doesn't count."

"Shush!" Eclipse said quietly. "Listen!"

Frost perked her ears up, and that was when she heard it.

Talon steps.

Someone was heading their way.
