Rydelle Hood, daughter of Red Riding Hood. Rydelle was a courageous girl with a deep passion for her heritage. No one besides Rydelle and her mom knew who her dad was, and there was a good reason for that.
When Beast married Belle, he proclaimed to ship all the villains and sidekicks in the land to the Isle of the Lost. An island with no magic, no Wi-Fi, and no way off.
Unfortunately for Blanchette, her husband and father to her child was booted to the isle.
Zeke Wolf. Or better known as The Big Bad Wolf is Rydelle's father. After Red Riding Hood's encounter with the wolf, she learned to give him a second chance. They grew found over each other. Over the years, Zeke showed his caring-loving, human side to Blanchette. Zeke even offered to help take care of Red's grandmother.
When Red was old enough, her and the wolf started dating. What no one knows is that the wolf was just three years older than Red. They soon fell for each other quick.
Their love for one another was strong and only known by Red's grandmother. And when they got married, it was just the three of them. When Blanchette got pregnant, they were thrilled. A few months before their pregnancy got announced, Red's grandmother passed sadly. Not wanting to live in the same house, Red and Zeke moved to a little nice cottage on the outskirts of the enchanted forest to settle down and start their family.
When Belle and the Beast got married, Red and Zeke attended the wedding. Red getting invited and taking Zeke as her date/plus one. No one knew who Zeke truly was. Since Zeke was considered a villain, they kept his identity on the down low. Introducing himself as a huntsman.
When Beast shipped all the villains to the isle, Zeke got to stay since they knew him as a huntsman. Just four years later when Belle gave birth to Ben, they were going over the villain stats on the isle. Noticing The Big Bad Wolf was no where on their list of villains in the Isle, they went out searching for him.Checking in with Red Riding Hood first, they congratulated her on giving birth to Rydelle. Beast asked Red when the last time she saw the wolf and she said when she was 15. Just as Beast was getting ready to leave, Zeke comes back home in his wolf form from hunting in the woods. Beast and his men captured Zeke and took him in to be sent to the Isle. When Blanchette saw Zeke being detained, she lost it and tried to convince them he wasn't the guy they thought he was. They brushed over Blanchette's words and sent him away believing that Zeke brainwashed her.
After that, Blanchette was left to take care of Rydelle all alone. Blanchette tried and tried to tell Beast and his team that Zeke was good and learned from his mistakes. They weren't going to believe until he showed he changed whilst on the Isle. Blanchette told Beast Zeke was Rydelle's father and he made certain qualifications for the mother and daughter. They get to video call Zeke once a year. That day will later be called Family Day.
Growing up Rydelle always knew she didn't fit in with the other kids. She didn't fit in not liked the princess gig. Her mother wasn't even a princess either, not to mention her dad was certified as a villain. Rydelle loved her dad though and believed he wasn't bad.
Before Zeke got sent away, he gave Blanchette an amulet for Rydelle. With the amulet she could change into a wolf herself. She needed to power the amulet first though, and to do that she needed to practice her wolf abilities and help people/ do good deeds. Rydelle inherited her fathers wolf statistics. She could run very fast and had cat like reflexes -funny since she's a wolf. From having those abilities, she was on the track team; which she was the best member on the team.
When Rydelle attended Auradon Prep, she immediately became friends with Ben. They even had close birthdays. Rydelle always road solo. She knew not to get attached to anyone because you'll never know when they'll leave. Not to mention with her dad being gone, she had no father figure to really help her. Blanchette took on the role of both mom and dad. Having been with Zeke she knew how to take on the dad role. Plus Rydelle did get to video chat Zeke from time to time, so she had that.
Blanchette and Rydelle got through everything together and had a strong mother-daughter bond. Rydelle was going to have to take over the role of being Red Riding Hood some day so the relationship only helped her with knowing how to be a brave and strong fairy tale character.
Maybe she wont be the next Red Riding Hood, maybe she gets to be her own fairy tale.
