Part 25

I knew you could do it!

//Juliets POV//

Shawn and I were standing in Gorilla waiting for Shawn to enter into the 1996 royal rumble he was entering in the number 18 position, I wanted to stay as long as I could with him before he had to go

I was a bit disappointed I couldn't escort him to the ring like I usually do since Shawn wouldn't be able to keep and close eye on me and who knows what would happen out there

We heard the crowd shouting "3......2.......1 buzzzzz" we know that's Shawns cue as his music starts to play, but surprise Shawn grabs me by my waist and takes me out the curtain with him

as we step out he stops me and looks at me "I will be cheering you on babe, you can do this, I believe in you, you did it last year entering in the number one position you can easily do it again, go kick ass and show them whose boss" I told him in a reassuring voice then he smiles and kisses me, the crowd went nuts for that

Shawn then left to go to the ring and that's when I waved goodbye to the crowd heading backstage and I went to my dads dressing room, he was set to go against Bret Hart for the World Wrestling Federation Championship right after the Royal Rumble

Dad was feeling a bit down today so I decided to help cheer him up a bit by stretching with him because I know him doing 2 of his most favourite things will help cheer him up, stretching and spending time with me..his daughter, while we were stretching I made sure to keeping a close eye on the little tv box to make sure Shawn hasn't been eliminated

It was down to the finale four Shawn, Diesel, Davey and Kama just as Davey and Kama got eliminated leaving Shawn and Diesel in the ring before Diesel could react Shawn had super kicked him over the top rope meaning Shawn had won the royal rumble!

I was screaming of joy for him, he was finally getting his title shot at WrestleMania he deserves, then it hit me, if dad beat Bret he would have to face Shawn at WrestleMania, that kind of scared me but oh well

Once I laid eyes on Shawn I ran over to him and jumped in his arms wrapping my legs around his waist and kissing him

I broke away and said "I knew you could do it" he smiled at hugged me

"Yeah I did, but you know what kept me going?" He questioned

I shook my head "nope I don't, what did?"

He smiled at my response "you! You goof, when I was feeling tired I kept playing your words in my mind and it kept me going" he said, "I wouldn't have been able to do it without you" he added

I looked at him and raised an eyebrow "sure you could've" I said he just smiled and shook his head then hugged me again

Then I heard it "DONG!" I knew that was my dads theme, I jumped out of Shawns hold and ran towards gorilla hoping to be able to tell my dad good luck, with Shawn following not to far behind

"Dad!" I yelled as I saw him, he looked back at me with a confused face, I ran up to him and hugged him

"You can do this dad! I believe" I hold him as I hugged him tighter, he kissed my head before exiting gorilla and heading towards the ring, as he was walking he bumped into Diesel who was walking back from the ring, they threw a few hands before Diesel was pulled off of dad and forced to head back stage, that scared me a bit as well

The match went on as dad was tombstoning Bret, Kev ran down to the ring and pulled the ref out causing the match to end by disqualification causing Bret to retain his title, ugh I knew that would happen sooner or later

I saw the look on dads eyes, he was pissed actually more like furious but I knew he was just playing it for the crowd, jeez if I didn't know he was playing it for the crowd, I would've been scared to go anywhere near him

Once dad got back, he put on a great match, really he did, I know he will get the title sooner or later again because he's already won it before

But right now, I have to focus on helping Shawn for WrestleMania because it was official Shawn Michaels vs Bret Hart in a one on one Iron man match for the World Wrestling Federation Championship as so told by Roddy Piper the following Monday on Raw

I couldn't wait for WrestleMania to come around!
