Chapter 8 Ariel vs. the evil clone

I was walking around town with Lauren and Jayden. Meanwhile in the netherworld, "Hey Dayu, if I were you I'd get out of here." Octaroo said. "Why?" Dayu said. "Well, now that the black ranger has joined the others Master Xandred will be furious." Octaroo said. "We haven't lost the battle yet." Dayu said. "Yeah right, how do we beat the black ranger?" Octaroo said. "I think the saying goes fight fire with fire." Dayu said while picking up the copy weapon that one of the nighloks used. (Don't fight fire with fire is the actual saying.) "The nighloks copy weapon." Octaroo said. "Yes, it came quite in handy before he was destroyed." Dayu said. Then the evil clone shows up. "It's an exact duplicate of the black ranger but with no trace of Ariel Shiba in her. A soulless warrior that is one hundred percent evil." Dayu said. "I am at your command." The evil clone said. Back at the shiba house I am training with the others. I didn't really think too much about the possibility of there being an evil ranger, eventhough my family friend was evil because of the evil spell that was placed on him. So an evil ranger has been known to happen. A few weeks later I was walking around town when I noticed that something was going on. Jayden called me at that moment. "Ariel, are you okay?" Jayden asked. "Yeah, I'm fine. It weird though. It feels like I am being watched." I said. "Maybe you should come back here right away." Jayden said. "Yeah, I guess you're right." I said before hanging up. I turned around when I came face to face with my evil clone. "Not so fast. I'm tired of living in your shadow. After this there will be only one black ranger." My evil clone said. "I got no problem with that." I said before morphing into my ranger form. "Samuraizer, go go samurai!" I said while I pulled out my samuraizer and wrote the symbol for ice. Once I morphed I put a disk on my sword and pulled my sword out of its holster. "Samurai ranger, ready." I said. "Super samurai mode." My evil clone said to go into super samurai mode. Then my evil clone and I started to fight. I'm not afraid to prove that I am stronger than my evil clone.

My evil clone knocked me down. "You can feel it too can you? Only one of us will survive." My evil clone said. "I guess it's going to come down to who wants it more." I said. Then my evil clone got hurt. I never knew that my words could have that much power. "Now who's feeling it?" I said as I got up. "You wish." My evil clone said before we attacked each other some more. "I feel your weakness, it won't be long now." My evil clone said. Then I knocked my evil clone down. "Get up." I said. My evil clone got up. "You fight with honor Ariel Shiba." My evil clone said. "How can you talk about honor when you don't even have a soul?" I asked. "I don't need a soul. Thanks for reminding me." My evil clone said. After knocking down my evil clone I asked her if she can't take much more. After a while longer, "Does it have to be this way?" I asked. "My rules, remember?" My evil clone said. "If that's the way you want it." I said. Then we charged toward each other with swords drawn. We hit each other with our swords. "I guess you wanted it more." My evil clone said as she turned to face me. I turned to face her. "Goodbye black ranger." My evil clone said before blowing up. I demorphed and went back to the shiba house. When I got back the others were taking a break from training. I walked up to Jayden, Lauren, and John. "Guys, do you want to know why I didn't get here ten minutes ago?" I asked. "Yeah." They said. "Okay, guys, I ran into this ranger I never saw before but it took me a few minutes to realize that it was my evil clone." I said. "What?" Lauren said. "What did you do when you realized that it was your evil clone?" John asked. "I didn't really have a choice of what I could do. I had no choice but to fight my evil clone." I said. "Are you crazy? You could have gotten yourself killed." Jayden said. "Jayden, I didn't have a choice." I said. Then I walked away from them. The next day during a battle a voice said black ranger over and over again. Once again we were fighting some moggers. When all of the moggers were destroyed the voice said black ranger you will fall. After the battle we demorphed. I couldn't quite understand why Master Xandred would say that to me. At that moment I thought I knew that there was going to be some threat towards me. When we got back I decided to analyze what Master Xandred said. What I didn't know was that John knew the real story behind that threat. My evil clone attacking me was enough for me to analyze everything I heard from the bad guys in the battle. But I still don't know how my evil clone could have talked about honor if she didn't have a soul. I can't concentrate on that now, I have something more important to work on, it's like I always have more important things to do, and by that I mean ranger things. I went out for a run with Jayden the next day. "You're very quiet today Ariel, is there something on your mind?" Jayden asked. "It's nothing. I was just thinking about how we are going to take down Master Xandred." I said. "Are you sure that it's not about something else?" Jayden asked. "Yeah, I'm sure." I said. When we got back John noticed that I was acting a little weird. He could tell that something wasn't right. He tried to ask Jayden what was going on but Jayden couldn't tell what was wrong. John walked up to me the next day. "Hey, so I just noticed that you've been acting kinda weird." John said. "Yeah." I said. "If you don't mind me asking, why are you acting kinda weird?" John said. "It's, complicated." I said. "What is?" He asked. I told him about the other threat.
