Chapter 13 The rangers rescue Lauren & Mentor Ji

I called a late night meeting. "Okay everyone, listen up. Tomorrow morning we are going to rescue Lauren and Mentor Ji. I have been thinking of a way to save both of them." I said. Then I told them my plan. The next morning in a valley Lauren and Mentor Ji are tied up. "Yes, now all that's left for us to do is play the waiting game." Master Xandred said. "What do you want from us Master Xandred?" Lauren asked. "I got what I want. The two of you." Master Xandred said. "Why us?" Lauren asked. "You're the catch of the day. You're the bait I'm gonna use to lure the rest of your color coded friends. Wouldn't you like to give them a call? I bet you would. Well too bad. They'll come for you from the only entrance to this valley, from right there, and when they do my mogger army will be waiting with open arms." Master Xandred said. "Don't worry, we just have to keep faith that the team will find us." Mentor Ji said. "We don't need faith. You know Ariel's other form. She'll be able to track us down. She'll lead the team to us." Lauren said. Meanwhile at the shiba house Jayden brought in a rock from outside. "Ariel, can you get a scent of the nighloks that took them?" Jayden asked as he put the rock in front of me. I go into my wolf form and sniff the rock. "I got it. Follow me." I said. The rest of the team followed me. Meanwhile in the valley Lauren and Mentor Ji are talking to each other. "Hey, in case we don't make it out of this, thanks for everything that you did for Jayden, Ariel, and me after our mom and dad died." Lauren said. "Well, you should know that you guys are worth more than gold." Mentor Ji said.

Meanwhile in a creepy tunnel I led them into I lost the scent. I walked around in circles until I got the scent again. "Guys, let's keep going but be careful. There could be some moggers around here." I said. Then a lot of moggers show up. We fight them off with Jayden using the shark sword. Meanwhile in the valley, "Your pathetic buddies will be coming through that pass any minute now. And you get to watch them fry." Master Xandred said. Then Master Xandred threw Lauren's head back again the pole that they are tied to. "Ow!" Lauren said. "Lauren, we'll make it through this." Mentor Ji said. "Even in defeat they are delusional." Master Xandred said. "Not delusional. I just got a hunch." Mentor Ji said. When we got close to the pass the scent was really strong. "Their scent is really strong here." I said. "Then we must be close." Jayden said. "Let's go." I said. We made it through the pass and found Lauren and Mentor Ji. I went back into my human form and morphed into the black ranger. We fought off the moggers. "Green ranger, ready." Mike said. "Pink ranger, ready." Mia said. "Blue ranger, ready." Kevin said. "Yellow ranger, ready." Emily said. "Silver ranger, ready." John said. "Gold ranger, ready." Antonio said. "Black ranger, ready." I said. "How in the world did you rangers figure out my trap?" Master Xandred said. Then he started to leave when Jayden stopped him. "Not so fast. And red ranger, ready." Jayden said. Master Xandred doesn't want to let Lauren and Mentor Ji go without a fight.
🎶 Master Xandred: Let's get this party started. I swear I'm cold hearted. There's no negotiation. I'm not here for debating. You need some motivation. Just look at Lauren's face and ask yourself how long you think I'll remain patient. I throw her into the forest to fight the wolves. You either hand over the sword or she'll be ripped apart.
Ariel: Now let's all just be smart, although for you that must be hard. You'll get your sword, no one has to come to any harm. Don't try to intimidate, your bark is much worse than your bite. Who's the baddest of them all? I guess we're finding out tonight.

Ariel: Okay look, this is not a conversation, it's a do or die situation. If you don't give me the ranger and mentor I'll have no hesitation. I'll serve you right here and I don't need a reservation. That way you're nighlok crew can have a demonstration. Release them now and we can go our separate ways. Unless you wanna deal with me and the power rangers.
