Chapter 19

"Good morning," I replied cheerfully, although I had an insane headache. "Sakura, you know what happened yesterday after I looked for Kaname?" I asked her, looking at her with pleading eyes. "No, what happened yesterday? Can't you remember anything?" she asked me worried and sat down next to me on the bed. "I'll ask Kaname, maybe he knows what happened yesterday,". I set myself the goal of asking Kaname. "Has he erased her memory again?" Sakura stated in a whisper.

After I got ready, Sakura accompanied me to Kaname. Sakura certainly wouldn't leave me alone to see Kaname. She is the best friend any friend can imagine! "Do you want to ask Kaname directly?", Sakura asked me and looked at me with concerned yellow eyes. "I don't want him to harm you" "Kaname would never do it," I assured her, taking Sakura hand in mine and smiled at her.

I paused for a moment in front of Kaname's door. It is now noon. Bedtime for vampires. Should I knock anyway? I mused, creasing my forehead. "What are you waiting for?" Sakura asked me, raising her eyebrows. "Are you waiting because your boyfriend might sleep? It doesn't matter if you wake him up. Isn't he your boyfriend? He wouldn't understand if you woke him up about your worries?" "You're right, Sakura," I stated, knocking softly on the door first. I waited until Kaname let me and Sakura enter. "Come in," came the other side of the door. Without waiting another second, I opened the door and stepped through the door to Kaname.

Kaname was lying on his sofa with his arm around his eyes. "It's me," I pointed out. "I wanted to ask you what happened yesterday after I wanted to dance with you," I wanted to know from him and didn't talk around the bush. Kaname sat up straight, looked into my eyes and said without emotion: "You tripped over your dress yesterday and landed on your head." Somehow I couldn't believe it. I could clearly see that he lied. Why are you lying to me? "Ahh, okay," I mumbled disappointed, looking at the floor so Kaname wouldn't see tears welling up in my eyes. Sakura followed me outside.

After about 1 week Senri changed in a strange way and Yuki got together with Zero. Senri walked up to me on the day he changed and smelled my throat and said I smelled good. I dismissed it with a mock laugh and clapped him briefly on the shoulder, then took off with steps.

Yuki told me that she has a headache and see blood all over the place. I'm very worried about her, but Zero told me he would take care of Yuki and I shouldn't worry.

Kaname has avoided me since I asked him about the ball and was constantly alone or with Yuki a few times. He apparently knew what was wrong with her.

With a sigh, I sat down on a bench that was right next to the fountain. Why is Kaname avoiding me? I racked my brain, desperately digging my hand into my hair. Doesn't Kaname love me? "Come with me," said a male voice suddenly, pulling me by my wrist behind him. Zero!

"What's going on?" I wanted to know from him, defending myself very strongly against Zero's handgrip. "You should stop Kaname from biting Yuki," he ordered me and pulled me until we reached the roof. I could see Kaname and Yuki very clearly. Yuki appeared to be lying unconscious in Kaname's arms and Kaname bit her neck. "WHAT ARE YOU DOING, KANAME? YUKI BECOMES A VAMPIRE!" I yelled at him. Has Kaname forgotten that if that person is bitten by a pureblood, a person will become a vampire? As I made my way to them, Zero stopped me, by holding on to my wrist once more. "He's got a blood rush and will bite you too," he said, taking his pistol out of his jacket pocket with his other hand. "Why did you bite Yuki?", Zero yelled at Kaname and pointed his gun at him. Zero is very angry, after all, his girlfriend was bitten by a pureblood.

When Zero was about to pull the trigger, Yuki stood protectively with outspread arms in front of Kaname and shouted with tears in his eyes: "He- He is my brother. Not Zero". She fell into Kaname's arms again." You-you are siblings?" asked Zero shocked. I was surprised too. "I wish I were her real older brother," admitted Kaname and disappeared with Yuki in his arms. Without waiting for Zero, I ran after them as fast as I could.

However, before I reached the door of Kaname's room, I was stopped by Aido. "Kaname said we should take you to your room," said Aido, pushing me towards my room by placing his hand on my back and gently pushing it forward. "What about Yuki?" I asked her confused and tears of desperation formed in my eyes. "Yuki is Kaname's sister. Yuki was born to marry Kaname".
