Jamie's POV

"Oh, Jamie," Kasey moaned as I kissed her neck. That was her spot. She moaned some more, and finally jumped on top of me. I couldn't hide the bulge forming in my pants. She started taking my shirt off when there was knock at my door. I groaned.

"I'm busy!" I called out.

"Jamie, stop fornicating my daughter and come out here for dinner." Kasey's dad, my father's second-in-command, yelled. Kasey started blushing like crazy, and hurried out of my room. I groaned again. I pulled my shirt on again. I looked in the mirror.

"Great." I said out loud. I get to go to dinner with everyone while sporting this bulge in my pants. I decided it was best to go all or nothing. So I sported the bulge as I walked out to dinner.

I got a few looks, but nobody paid much attention to it. We had steak and potatoes for dinner. Kasey sat next to my sister instead of me. Everything was fine at dinner. Me and Kasey went up to my room again, but her dad kind of killed the mood.

"So what do you wanna do?" I asked Kasey, lying down on my bed.

"I don't know. Finish homework, I guess." She picked up a book off my desk.

"Or," I said, suddenly getting a great idea. "Or we could go to the party Carrie is throwing."

"I already told you earlier this week that I didn't want to go." She said, groaning.

"Yeah, but I really want to go. Plus she is kind of expecting us to be there."

"Fine, whatever. But don't complain when I'm drunk off my ass." She walked out of the room and into hers.

Carrie Andrade always threw these elaborate parties because her parents really didn't care what she did. Her favorite thing was to throw them on Sunday nights, though. She got some sick enjoyment from seeing everyone show up to school hungover. Kasey is never in the mood to go, but I convince her every once in a while.

I grabbed my towel to go take a shower, and when I stepped out of my room, I got this really weird feeling. Like something was going to happen tonight. I figured it was just my excitement, and I shrugged it off.

Forty minutes later, we were dressed and ready to go. I told my dad that we were just going to head out to hang out with some friends, and we left. Carrie's house wasn't that far away from mine, so we didn't talk during the drive. But as soon as we pulled towards  her house, Kasey and I jerked our heads toward each other.

"Vampires." I said, sniffing the air. See, us werewolves have a complicated relationship with vampires. We aren't at each other's necks like every average human seems to think. But don't get me wrong. We hate them half the time. There is just something about them that just doesn't mix well with us. But I have met some pretty cool vampires in the past. I met this one vampire named Olivier once, and he was a pretty awesome guy. He ended up moving to some place in Europe though.

"See? This is why I hate going to parties. Stupid vampires are always crashing them." Kasey had this prejudice against vampires because her best human friend was Turned by some vampire her friend had fallen in love with.

"Oh, don't be so uptight. Just come in and have some fun." I got out of the car and went to open Kasey's door, but she had already gotten out. The music was really loud, and it got way louder when we walked in. Kasey ditched me immediately to get some booze, so I went to go socialize.

It was mostly small talk, and I wasn't paying attention to anything anyone said. I was too busy focusing on this one vampire in the corner. He had this girl in his arms, and he was kissing her neck a lot. He stopped when his friend tapped him and whispered in his ear. The vampire rolled his eyes and pushed the girl away. I think that vampire went to our school. I feel like I have seen him before.

After pouting a little bit, he went to the middle of the room and started dancing with people. He seemed more human than the vampires I've met. He laughed at people and wasn't scared of being social. Most vampires just stuck to a corner and waited to be approached, but this one didn't seem to care. He was definitely ready for anyone.

Luca's POV

I was pissed and hungry. Which is probably why I agreed to go to a party. I am a party animal, but I don't to high school parties. I may look 17, but I am much, much older. What can I say? I prefer the more adult setting. But if high school was all that was offered to me, then I'll take what I can get.

I got bored of staying with the vampires and making out with random girls, so I went out and socialized. I eventually found myself sandwiched between two girls on the dance floor. It was nice, but incredibly boring. So I went to get some alcohol. With me being a vampire, alcohol doesn't have much of an effect on me. But it has something of an effect on me, so I drink.

I knew there were werewolves here, but I just was going to ignore them. I didn't think I'd run into one. There was an already very drunk wolf girl in the kitchen flinging herself around. She immediately looked at me when I walked in and growled. The others in the kitchen, who were also drunk, started laughing. I just rolled my eyes and grabbed a cup.

"Have I met you?" the wolf said.

"I doubt that. I don't associate myself with your kind." I said without looking at her.

"You smell different than the others though. It's weird."

"Well," I said, looking at her, "I can't really explain it to you. It probably sums up to the fact that you are drunk."

She giggled. "You're probably right."

I walked out of the kitchen, not wanting to deal with anymore werewolves tonight. I walked into the living room to see one of the vampires that had come drinking some girl. I walked over to them quickly, smacking the vampire boy.

"Are you stupid? There are werewolves here!" I whispered harshly.

"What are they going to do about it? Yell at me? I'm hungry."

I sighed. "Just... Be more discreet. Please."

It wasn't like we were starving. Vampires got enough food. But sometimes we overfed. Just drinking blood for the fun of it. I never understood the joy people got out of that. I didn't want to watch the bloodbath anymore. (Maybe I'm being a little over-exagerrative.) I decided to go upstairs and see who all was going to hook up. The perks of being cool is that I have to be very up-to-date with all the gossip. It's expected of me.

I silently peaked into the rooms. I saw a few friends hooking up. Totally knew that was going to happen. I saw a few others, then I looked in the last room. I saw that werewolf girl from the kitchen with some random guy. That was interesting. But she looked me in the eye when I opened the door. She looked pissed. I ran backwards into the bathroom behind me. I closed and locked the door. I was safe.

Except there was some guy in the bathroom with me. He was a werewolf too, I could tell from his scent. I turned and the first thing I saw (call me a pervert?) was his junk in his hands. He reached up and pushed me. I don't blame him.

"What the hell, man? Jeez, I knew you vamps were weird, but this is seriously pushing it."

I looked up at him. "Look, sorry, I just-" I was cut off by his sharp intake of breath. He looked me in the eyes and his jaw dropped. His pulse was speeding up quickly, I don't think I needed to be a vampire to hear that. One thing I know is that his stare was making me unnerved. I felt my pulse speed up too, and that never happens.

I swallowed. "You okay, man?"

He just stared at me, tilting his head. "I-it's you..."
