Jamie's POV

"I-it's you..." I said, shocked by my own words. I couldn't think, I couldn't breathe, I couldn't take my eyes off this vampire that is in the bathroom with me. He was staring at me just as much as I was at him. I suddenly became aware of the fact that I was still holding onto my length, and it was starting to grow. I shoved it back into my pants and zipped them up.

I knew my heart was beating faster than ever before, and I could hear this vampire's heartbeat as clearly as my own. It felt as if the world had stopped.

"M-m-me? What about me?" The vampire guy said breathlessly. I took a step towards him unconsciously and leaned dangerously close. I just wanted to kiss him so badly...

"YOU FUCKING BASTARD! I SAW YOU!" A girl's voice yelling and banging on the door interrupted the moment, and we promptly backed away from each other. After I gathered my thoughts, I realized that the girl sounded like Kasey.

"I surely don't know what you are talking about." The guy's voice had gained confidence, and I noticed he had a hint of an accent... It sounded French.

"You were peeping on me while I was fooling around with that guy!" She sounded drunk. The guy snickered at her.

"And if you don't shut up, everyone will know by tomorrow."

"WHAT?" The banging got harder and louder.

"Kasey?" I asked, without thinking about the fact that she might question that I'm in with not only a guy, but a vampire at that. The banging stopped.

"Jamie? Is that you?" I opened the door, and the only thing said was "Awe, fuck" before she passed out.

I didn't know what to think. I mean, my girlfriend just admitted to cheating on me. I should feel betrayed. But then again... I was just considering making out with a vampire... with a dude. I turned back to look at the guy, my heart rate increasing. He looked up and met my eyes, and it was like an explosion in my chest. Before I did anything stupid, I spoke up.

"So, uh, what's your name?" I could hear the shakiness in my own voice. He took a deep breath in and out.

"Luca." He said, quietly. He looked uncomfortable, but he didn't show any signs of leaving. I couldn't really hear him over the loud music (or maybe it was my heartbeat), so he had to repeat himself several times.

"Follow me." I yelled over the music. I grabbed his hand and led him to an empty bedroom. Once we were inside, I realized how that may look, so I let go of his hand and backed away. My breathing hitched once I realized I am in a room alone with this vampire guy, but I had no idea why.

Luca's POV

I was in a room alone with a werewolf that almost kissed me. I felt light-headed. My heart still beating dangerously fast, I walked past him and sat on the edge of the bed.

"I'm Jamie." The wolf's deep voice said. I looked up at him, and he was standing there all awkward. He was scratching his neck and looking down, shifting his weight from foot to foot. How cute.

"So I've heard." I saw his cheeks slightly tint red. I laid back on the bed, and took a deep breath in. "So why did you bring me in this room?" I asked, looking up at the ceiling. I decided if I don't look at him, I can think clearly.

"I, uh, I... I don't know. I felt the need to?" He walked over and sat next to me. Our thighs touched, and I sat up quickly when they did. It was as if he had shocked me. His intake of breath proved he felt it too.

"Look, Wolfie... I don't know what in the hell is happening here, but I don't need to be a part of it." I got up and started to walk away. He grabbed my hand, and my breathing quickened.

"Wait... I don't know what it is either, but I have a feeling this is something for the better." He tightened his grip when I tried to pull away. My eyes widened.

"Oh... I get it... You are gay. Look, I don't swing that way." My body seemed to think otherwise. His eyes widened and he let go of my hand.

"What? Gay? No no no no no, no! I am definitely not gay." He stood up and started pacing. "I- I have a girlfriend, and a stable sex life with her... I don't like dudes... This- this is just weird..."

I shook my head as I walked out the door. I turned around and looked back at him. Our eyes connected, and I reconsidered walking out. I broke the stare.

"Look, Jamie," his name sounded so good rolling off my tongue, "I can't stay. I have my own problems."

"But-"

"And do me a favor, Wolfie," I turned around and grabbed the door handle. "Stay away from me." I opened the door and walked away. I shuddered as I felt an emptiness in me. I heard him slam the door, and I paused as he stomped through the crowd, past me, and out the door.

Marina, a vampire girl who had came to the party, walked up to me, staring at the door. "What's his problem?"

I paused, staring at the door. That was the most alive I had felt since I was Turned. But it had trouble written all over it. There was no need for a vampire and a werewolf to work together on anything.

"Hell if I know." I walked off to get a drink, this time a human. I needed to feed. I was drained.
