AUDREYS POV

School is always the worst part of my week. 8 hours of work, then they pack on two more hours of homework.

My day has been running pretty smoothely so far. I haven't run into Connor and the boys today, which is an extremely good sign.

But that's about to change. I have chemistry last hour and that is the only class I have with Connor.

And do you know what's even worse? My lab partner and his lab partner are both gone, so that leaves us to be partners. Somebody kill me before Connor does.

Connor refuses to look or talk to me so I guess I'm doing this one all my myself. As I do all the work and write down notes I pick up the tube labeled 'B' but Connor finally speaks up.

"Uhm.. Audrey?" I look at him, "What?"

"It says to use tube 'C'."

I mentally slap myself, "Oh, right." I steadily try to dump the tube into the bigger one, but I fret that I'll spill it and humiliate myself.

Connor sees my frustration and take the tube from me, "Here, I'll do it." He pours it evenly, not spilling a drop.

"Thanks.." I mumble, wondering why he's being nice.

The teacher then walks over and tells us that we're doing a good job. "Thank you." Connor and I say in unison.

We look at eachother and smile, but it soon fades. "Yeah, you can pick all this up. You're the women after all. Its what you do right?" Connor says in a harsh voice.

I roll my eyes at his sexist remark and pick up the tubes to put them back.

So much for a nice Connor. Maybe that was just a one type thing. He really is a douche at heart.

CONNORS POV

I know I shouldn't be such a dick to her, but I can't help it.

All my friends hate her, so being the "leader" of the group I have to be the meanest to her.

It sounds pretty ignorant but that's how the clique works. If 5 out of the 6 group members hate someone, everyone has to.

To be honest, there's nothing wrong with Audrey. She's never done anything bad to us. I think the guys like to pick on her because she's such an easy target.

Audrey really is a nice girl though. She's fun to laugh with and she's pretty easy on the eyes. She's so sweet and innocent, I don't see why anybody would want to hate her.

But as long as I'm friends with Kian, Ricky, Trevor, JC, and Sam I have no choice but to pick on her. I value my reputation at this school more than anything.

Wow, I sound like an asshole even more when I say it like that.
