As the small group of birds started chirping, everyone could guess it was a start to a new day. The cheerful sun rays were dancing around in everyone's windows, waking up people one by one.

The deep brown curtains were pushed open, allowing the intimidating light run into the room. A grunt of annoyance was heard, as the owner of the voice slid deeper into the comfortable sheets.

"Wake up! You're going to be late!" - A high-pitched tone hissed out, snatching the blanket off the bed. Another sigh after another and the one who was now sitting in the bed, stretched.

"Good morning, yeah I know. Please get out so I can change" - Y/N yawned, getting out of bed afterwards. Who appears to be her mother, only nods and walks out of the door, quietly closing the door afterwards.

After the girl stepped onto the cold tiles of the bathroom, she stripped off her pajamas, going into the shower.

One long shower later, Y/N wrapped a towel around her body, already walking to the closet. Soon enough, she chose what to wear, and got changed immediately. Jumping into a black pleated skirt, the girl put on a white button up shirt and a light brown vest on top. Happy with how the outfit looks, Y/N finally closes the doors of her bedroom, walking to the kitchen.

"Good mornin'." - Dad said, turning a page of a new newspaper. Daughter nods at him, greeting him too.

"Here you go!" - Mom announces, placing a plate with a small sandwich on the white marble counter. Y/N slurs out a small thank you, before sitting on a tall bar stool, digging in.

As soon as the girl started chewing, the elder woman started talking.

"So..how are the grades, Y/N?"

"Mom, please, not at breakfast" - The girl snarls out, a bit annoyed her eating was interrupted.

"What? Why did you got so defensive? Don't tell me.. you're failing, aren't you?" - The woman clicks her tongue, displeased. It wasn't the first time her daughter was failing a class, and unfortunately not the last.

"Mom! I am not failing, for God's sake! Why can't you just leave me alone for a few minutes while I finish eating." - Y/N hisses out, clearly fed up with the conversation.

"Watch your tone, young lady! That's not how you speak to your mother." - Father barges in the conversation, furiously sipping his apple juice.

"I'm not hungry anymore. Bye, I'm just gonna go." - Y/N takes a deep breath in, ignoring her parents' arguing. She takes her backpack from the corner of the room, slips into some black sneakers and walks off to the institution.

"Everyone sit down, let's start the lecture."- Professor announced, sitting afterwards. Every student in the auditorium sat down too, getting comfortable in the chairs.

Y/N's POV

As soon as I sat down, I reached down for my backpack, taking out my phone. To be completely honest, this professor gave the most boring lectures, let alone never actually asked us to do any tests or pop quizzes.

Taking out my phone, I unlock it, scrolling through twitter. Nothing in particular caught my eyes, but there was this one tweet. A completely weird tweet, which only had two words in it. "Pay Attention.". I furrow my eyebrows and that's when someone called out my name.
