Ava always treated Salt as a daughter, however, she never allowed to call her mom. I don't remember why. She even decorated a whole room for Salt, even if Salt doesn't need one. Ava missed her niece. Is Salt a way to move on?
That day, after the diagnosis, Ava decided to go to the shopping mall. She decided that Salt deserved a small present for her. Salt couldn't decline, because her current feeling was "excited". Ava felt so nostalgic.
A new mall opened in the city, so Ava wanted to go. It was the biggest of the city, so that was a great rage. The place was mostly de out of glass, it was very elegant, but casual. All people was excited, that means the mall may be crowded. Ava was afraid of Salt getting lost. Why didn't you hear your instinct, Aunt Ava?
—After a long time, Ava found the place she was looking for; The stationary. Ava thought that Salt, being 209 month old, wouldn't be interested anymore on toys and plushies, but she was wrong. Salt's attention was focused on the toy store. How to make a humot focus on something that is not of their interest?
That place was magical. All colorful, with those funny sounds that make us remember our young ages. It was a big place, with lot of shelves, full of nice toys. The kids' screams, i can't forget it. Ava decided to accompany Salt to the toy store. She may be 209 months old, but she still living like a 72 months old one. Salt's current feeling was "excited".
While Salt's attention was on toys, the cashier's attention was on Salt. For the cashier, Salt was a extravagant type of Humot. Salt was the most human-looking humot the cashier would've seen in his life. He wanted to know how does it works. And maybe wanted her too.
—Come here, girl. —The cashier said. He was a not so old man, but not so young. He didn't scare Salt at first, but know she remember, that man does. —There on the right shelf are more plushies you will love! Go and see them for yourself. —He insisted.
—Ava was kind of convinced, but Salt's prayers were enough. Ava will meet Salt in the Toy Store again, however she had a bad augury, and she didn't pay attention to it. She didn't know the price of her decision.
Salt was focused on seeing the plushies. A panda one called her attention. It was about 9 inches, with a cute face. Salt was convinced to buy it, because Ava let her some money, but she couldn't. She was about to take it, when a strange man took her left hand, a metallic hand, where she haves a volume control. With a quick finger move, he changed the volume control from 90 to 0%. The loudest scream wouldn't be heard, plus the lot of people on there. No one noticed.
Ava always worried about Salt's security, but this was inevitable, was it? Ava was so kind. She wanted to have a replacement for her niece, but this time she lost it again. No more Aunt Ava. Even worst, no more Mom.
Salt's strength was not enough to get away from the boy. While she was trying to get out, her head hit among the many people there, but it was a very hard blow. Ava was so kind, that's the last thing she thought before having an emergency memory wipe.
