Salt still amazed by the place. Ava would've never take her outside, and less for eating street food. Was she doing something wrong? Was she breaking a rule?
She was enjoying a beef empanada. A crunchy type of fried bread, with a beef mix inside. When you bite it, you can also taste the beef juice. It's a little spicy, so you should have your drink near.
Hike didn't think about meeting someone who didn't know about stret food. However, he was glad she discovered that. Salt realized that the boy was looking at her.
—hmm.. Is there something on me? — She was curious. — Am I doing something wrong?
—No. — He was ashamed. He didn't expect her to notice him. — It's just that I've never seen someone too amazed by street food. — Hike was speaking happily. — But don't misunderstand me, I'm not joking about you. My first time eating street food I've got caught by it. It's really your first time?
—Maybe not, Hike. But i don't remember — Salt was serious. — The only street food I've ever taste is the MarCar food. Is that valid? —After talking, she continued eating her empanada.
—It is, Salt. — He answered. — MarCar food is amazing. In my opinion, hazelnut cake is my favorite. How about you? Have you tasted those MarCar dishes?
—Hazelnut cake is my favorite too. — The human and the humot have things in common. Salt was amazed. — All the MarCar days, me and Ava stopped at the Hazelnut Cake vending place. I miss that. — She started to feel nostalgic.
The MarCar is a traditional festival in Bizou, before the holy days, often celebrated in March. People assists to the pier, and eats different type of street food. More than 500 independient Street food vendors come to that celebration. There are King and Queen competitions, and who win them are crowned as King and Queen of the Eternal happiness. They do a long parade and after that, they sit in their thrones to enjoy the invited artist's performance.
—You always talk about Ava, who are they? — Hike was curious about that person.
—Ava is my mom. —Salt remembered Ava's order. — I mean, my aunt. She took care of me since i remember, but doesn't want me to call her mom. I love her as one. — She really missed her. — Our last MarCar, and my first one, she wanted me to have a good time, but i didn't want to stay far from her. We had a nice MarCar. I met someone there, so I am happy of all I did last year. — She unlocked a lot of good memories. She was thinking about what happened to that boy.
—Can you tell me more about that boy, Salt? — He was curious.
A song started playing in the place's radio. An old romantic song performed by Ztar. Somehow, that song made Salt remember that boy better.
—That boy's voice was the most soft in the world. — She was thinking about him. — I felt comfortable when he was near, I'm thankful that I met him. — She was truly happy while talking about him. Suddenly, she started to feel sad again, and Hike could feel it — But destiny wanted us to get different paths, and wanted me to forget him, because that's what I did. — A guilty feeling was present. — At the end, I will forget you too.
—But I will not. — Hike said. — Why you say all of this? — He was anxious to hear an answer. Why would she forget it?
—Did I tell you I forget everything that happens in the next 24 hours after a scheduled memory wipe? — Was all she said.
