pt 6 lake house

{an I know it's still freezing in my at this time but j play along also i'm kinda making it like a beach town}

TWO WEEKS LATER
It was now spring break and Jenna and I's families were going to our lake houses. My mom and I were trailing Jennas families car to the destination. We took our jet to New York and now we're driving to the private lake. The lake was a decent size and had 6 houses on its front.

Our house had more of a rustic cabin feel while Jennas was more modern. Taking my suitcase I ran up to the front of the house excited since I hadn't been in over a year. I walked in and the smell of cinnamon and pine filled my nostrils. After 20 minutes we got situated. "Hey mom I'm going to Jennas to ask if she wants to swim!" I yelled to her walking out. The door to Jennas was open so I walked in. "JENNA!" I yelled and she came down. "Swimming?" I asked and she agreed.

We walked to the deck and she laid on the chair as I jumped in and swam around. I came back up and swam to her. I folded my arms rating them on the edge of the deck. Jenna started talking "You know they finally sold that house." referring to the house that's been dormant for years.
"Really? Do you know to who?" I asked.
She shrugged "my dad said a mom and a son."
"Ooo hope he's cute." I said making her laugh.

After forcing Jenna to play in the water with me we got out and went to get food. We dried off and I put on a pair of shorts. We walked into the corner store and browsed. I grabbed a chocolate bar and a jelly sandwich, while Jenna got just a turkey sandwich. As we ate we walked around the small town enjoying the scenery. "race you to the dock?" Jenna asked.
"You're on." I replied. I darted off sprinting to the dock running as fast as my flip flops would take me. Jenna was on my tail but I reached first winning. "I win!" I laughed out of breath. "Wait look!" She said pointing to the recently sold house. I look and see a car pull up. A mom and a son came out. Since it was a few houses down we couldn't really see them. "From what I can tell the sons cute, let's go say hi." I said. She agreed and we started walking. When we reached only the mom was outside, the son was prolly loading the suitcase in his room or something. "Hi, we're your neighbors." I greeted.
"Oh, hello! Which house are you guys?" She said
Jenna pointed out our two houses.
"We saw your son, how old is he?" I asked curious.
"He 17."
"So are we." Jenna said.
"You have to meet him! I'm Erica by the way." Erica said. "Could you stay here for a second I want to call me son?"
We agreed sitting on the small bench that faced the lake. "Uh, hey we heard a familiar voice say. I turn around and am greeted with Kyle. "Aven? Jenna?"
I nodded.
"You know them sweetie?" Erica asked.
"They're my friends we go to school together." He said.
She turned to us "That's wonderful. Kyle never ya out his friends to me."
"Well it was since to meet you but we need to go." Jenna said.  We said goodbye and started walking back to our houses. "Still think he's cute?" Jenna said. "Fuck off." I playfully punched her.

We were met with our families making a bon fire. We sat and ate dinner together. "So what did you two girls do today?" Jenna's dad asked. "We just swam and went to the corner store." I responded. "Oh and we also went to meet the new people here and ended up knowing the son." Jenna added.

NEXT DAY
I woke up the next day and headed down stairs. Mom wasn't there but on the counter there was a note saying her and Jenna's mom had gone out. I open the fridge and got some strawberries to eat. Jenna came knocking on my door and I went to open it. "Let's go back to the mainland and look for cute boys." She said.
This made me laugh "Did you forget about John?"
"He's being annoying we're now on a break." She replied.
"Okay" I agreed.

I wore a midi skirt with flowers and a white tank top. The mainland is the part of town where the public part of the lake is. There's a divide between it for public and private property.  We walked around the neighborhood and then we saw two skater boys chilling. Jenna being the outgoing girl she is she yelled "hey!" We walked over to them. "Hey were Zach and Cody."  (idfk first names that came to my head) "Aven and jenna." I replied. We got talking and we invited them to our part of the lake. Jenna and I had our feet dipped in the pool while the guys swam around. After an hour I got a text from my mom saying to come in for lunch. "Hey, me and Jenna have to go now sorry." I said. We exchanged numbers and they left. We got to my house and ate tacos.

It was now around 5 and I decided to go out to the lake alone. I've had my own secret spot for years. It was a part of the lake with a sort of wall made out of trees and rocks. On top there a big branches of tree that make it sort of enclosed. I've made my own rope swing and brought some camp chairs. I started walking to it passing Kyles house. I moved the vine curtían and walked in. I then heard someone say my name "Aven" I turn around and am greeted with Kyle.
"Kyle? What are you doing here?"
"I saw you pass my house and I followed."
"Oh well guess my secret spot isn't so secret." I said walking in deeper. I starting taking my shirt off, "Gonna join me?" I asked as he kinda just stood there. He nodded undressing as well. I went inside and Kyle followed.

I did my own thing not really minding him. "Let's go on the rope swing." I said getting out. He joined me. I climbed up the rocked grabbing the rope. I ran off flipping into the water. I stayed underwater for a while until I went up for air. I came up and Kyle was extremely close. We stared into each other's eyes and connected our lips. We started making out and I wrapped my legs around his waist. He slipped his tongue in and I followed. His hands moved around my torso feeling my body while mine were tangled in his hair. My hands moved to his bare chest deepening the kiss. I suddenly thought how think is Kyle, I can't do this with Kyle.

I pulled away, "We can't do this." I said slightly panting. I unwrapped my leg climbing onto the dock. I grabbed my clothes and looked back at him giving an awkward smile and leaving. Holy fuck I just kissed Kyle I thought to myself. My i goal thought was to tell Jenna ask her what to do, but no way could she know. My best bet is to just to pretend it didn't happen.

I arrived home and went to the shower. I got in scrubbing my entire body. As I was washing my face my fingers grazed over my lips. These lips were just on Kyles and I can't help but want them back on. I got out, went to my room and changed. I opened my window which was next to Jennas.

"Aven!" I heard from outside. I look out my window and it's Jenna.
"What's up?" I ask
"Zach and I are gonna hang out tomorrow. You and Cody should double date." She said.
"Exciting! But I don't wanna go with Cody not really into him." I say. She friend persuading me but I wouldn't budge until she finally gave up.

I went downstairs and mom said "I met Érica and invited her to dinner with Jennas family. So get ready her son is coming too."
I said okay and went back upstairs. OMG i'm gonna see Kyle again. At least were not alone I don't even have to talk to him. I got ready and came downstairs. Jennas family arrived and they were helping set up dinner. There was a ring on the door bell and mom went to answer it. In came in Kyle and him mom. I diverted eye contact with him and greeted Érica.

We all got seated and had small talk. My mom opened a bottle of wine and poured it out. She gave us teens a little bit because she says "It's just fermented grape juice". They were talking about the house Érica just bought.
"You two should see our house tomorrow." Erica said.
"Im actually busy but Avens free." Jenna said. I nodded slowly annoyed she said that.  
"Well how about you come over and have lunch with Kyle." Great now it's a set plan.
