Dear Diary,
There is a creature living in my attic. I can hear its footsteps go back and forth.
At first, I was worried about this unwelcomed guest... but now I feel somewhat concerned... It seems the steps become more and more distraught. What is it thinking? Is it okay? I continue to contemplate these questions at night instead of getting sleep.

Raccoon's POV:
Today has been harder than others. As we get adjusted to our new shelter I know that this will never be home, not like our old one at least.
My name is Rocco and I am an artist. And while I enjoy all arts, sculpting is my calling. As the others like to stuff their faces with trash, I like to make it into magnificent statues. I have dreams just like any other raccoon but it is meaningless for it is not a part of my destiny.
My father reminds me that my fate is to take his place as the leader of our gang, The Little Bandits. And even if it brings me no joy, I would never disobey my father. I pace back and forth trying to accept the fate that I soon would be given, trying to get some peace of mind.
"Rocco"
I turn to see my best friend, Danny. We have been best friends since we were kits.
"We missed you during lunch," he continued with a concerned but also reassuring smile.
"Sorry, I didn't have much of an appetite," I respond avoiding eye contact. I didn't want him to worry; he's already done so much for me.
I feel his hand fall on my shoulder. We stand like this for a few seconds.
"I know that these couple of months have been hard on you. You don't have to go through this alone, you can talk to me," he sighed.
"I'm fine, you don't have to worry," I say taking a step back. "I have to get back to my father now."
He looks concerned and frustrated but lets me leave.
I walk down to the corner of the attic that is my father's office. He looks much more tired than usual.
"My son, there is someone I must introduce to you," he says standing next to a pretty woman raccoon. She seems to be new for I have not seen her before.
"This is Connie," he introduces her as she gives me a sly smirk.
"She is going to be your wife."
I stare back at him in shock. This could not be happening. He could not expect me to marry this woman raccoon.
