Neville's Pov:
Yesterday was too much for me. Well emotionally anyway, and I truly have no idea why. I mean it could be the fact that yesterday was basically the most interaction I ever had with Y/N. But I also embarrassed myself in front of her (more like Seamus embarrassed me but that doesn't matter now). Last night when I came to my dorm I put on my pj's and went straight to be. I really didn't want to talk to any of my friends, all I could think about was how I can tell Y/N that I like her. I could've asked my friends for advice but I think we all know that she's out of my league so they wouldn't exactly give me good advice... but anyways today is a new day. I was usually the first one awake so I usually go check up on my plants at the greenhouse and then head to the great hall with the other early birds. This morning was no different, that was until I walked into the great hall and saw Y/N sitting by herself at the Slytherin table. That's kind of odd, I've never seen her here this early.. WAIT SHE'S ALONE! MAYBE I CAN GO TALK TO HER. Okay, Neville breathe. In and out. OH NO, SHE SEE'S ME. SHE'S SMILING AT ME (Godric she has a beautiful smile). Okay time to go talk to her. I got this. As I approached her table, I tripped over my own foot but it's ok because I didn't fall and she didn't see. "HI y/n!" I said with just a little bit too much enthusiasm. "Hey Nev" she said. Nev. Nev. NEV!! SHE GAVE ME A NICKNAME!! "H-how are you this morning?" I said as I sat down next to her. "I am very tired actually. My dad needed help with some things last night and by the time we were done it was late and I still needed to do my homework so I stayed up all night doing it", "did you not sleep at all?" she did look pretty tired, "nope:) But enough about me, how are you this morning?", "I'm pretty good. I just went to go water my plants and then I came here. Pretty boring morning to be honest" I CAN"T BELIEVE I'M HAVING A CONVERSATION WITH HER AND IT'S NOT GOING TERRIBLE. "Well I hope your day gets more interesting" she said with a small giggle "See you later, hopefully" she said as she got up. "y-yea see you later, bye y/n", "bye nev" she said, then waved, then walked over to the professor's table...most likely to talk to her dad. Well, that went well! Okay, that gives me hope.
A/n- Heyyy ppl. Srry for the short chapter but I'm just feeling eh. I have no idea if anyone is actually keeping up with the story so idk if i'm still gonna keep writting it. I'll probably just make it shorter than I wanted it to be🤷♀️ Plus I'm like not rlly feeling inspired to write sooooo idk. Also if any of you are into shifting lmk!
