Chapter 6 ~ What Are We?

George and Dream were sitting on the couch. It was 4:30 pm on a Friday. Dream was watching a show when he came up with and idea. He thought to himself, what if they go skating tonight. "Hey George" dream said. "Yes?" George asked curiously. "Do you wanna go somewhere tonight?" Dream asked. "Uhhh, depends where, and will the others come with?" George said. "Yeah they will, and it's a surprise" Dream answered. "Ughhh you know I hate surprises" George said annoyed. Dream chuckled and began walking up the stairs to go tell the others. "Hey guys, get ready, we're going skating, but just don't tell George" Dream said. "Uhh, okay?" Sapnap said.

They made it to the roller skating rink. "Uhm, what are we doing here, Dream you know I can't skate"George said. "Yeahhh I know but I thought I'd teach you" Dream said happily. George didn't say anything else until they got into the building. "Alright, do you guys got your skates on?" Dream asked. "Yes" Sapnap, Karl, and Quackity said in sync. "Okay, you guys can go be the fiancé's you are and go skate together, I'm gonna stick with George." Dream said. "ok have funnnn" Karl said with a giggle.

"Alright, come on George, let's go" Dream said. "Uh, o-ok" George said shakily. "It'll be ok George, here, give me your hands" Dream said softly. George gave Dream his hands and started slowly moving, watching Dream skate backwards. George looked up at Dream and smiled. "Look your doing it!" Dream said excitedly. After Dream said that, George began to stumble. He tripped and started head to the floor. He then felt warm arms wrap around him and grip tightly. "I got you, you're okay." Dream said. George giggled nervously.

After a bit of practicing with Dream, he was able to slowly skate by himself. George and Dream held hands and began to skate around. George was getting the hang of it, and began to go faster. But, he was getting a bit ahead of himself. He was looking at Dream and the next thing he knew, he tripped over someone that fell in front of him. His knee hit the hard wood floor. "Omg! George are you okay?!" Dream said protectively. "Ah- y- yeah I'm f-fine" George said with pain in his voice. He tried to stand up and fell back down. "No no, don't get up, I got you" Dream said. Dream picked up George and carried him off the floor. George was in unbearable pain, he hugged Dream tightly, tearing up. Dream blushed after he felt George's arms around his neck.

Dream skates over toward the three guys to tell them they needed to leave. "Guys, we need to go, George hurt himself" Dream said in a concerned toned. "No it's fine, you can take the car and take him home, we're gonna be here for awhile, we'll just take an Uber." Sapnap said. "Oh alright, well I'll see you guys later" Dream said. Dream carried George out to the car and set him down in the passenger seat. "Thanks Dream, but you didn't need to do that for me" George said. "you couldn't walk, George" Dream pointed out. "Yeah, but I could've found a way to get around" George said. "Forget about it, I would've helped you anyway" Dream said. They began to drive home, it was dark and raining. Silence filled the vehicle, making the tension between the two grow. George reached over and turned on the radio. "Yess this song is a banger" Dream said excitedly. Hey there Delilah was playing in the background. Dream was humming the song and looked over at George. Dream smiled, George had fallen asleep. They finally arrived home and it was 7:30 pm. Dream got out of the car and opened the passenger door. "George, wake up" Dream said while lightly shaking George. George was dead asleep. "Here we go again" Dream said behind a giggle. Dream picked up George and carried him in the house. He later him on the couch and put a blanket over him. Dream leaned over and gave him a soft kiss on the forehead. He knew they weren't together, but he wanted to show affection. Dream turned around and began to walk towards the kitchen when he heard a faint voice behind him. "Dream?" George said. "Yes?" Dream asked. "Do you love me?" George asked boldly. Dreams heart dropped. He's been waiting for this question to come up, but all of sudden, didn't want to answer, he was too afraid to ruin their friendship. "Uh, why?" Dream asked. "Just curious" George said. "Heh, okay, umm do you want an ice pack?" Dream said avoiding the question. "Yeah that'd be great" George said sitting up. Dream walked to the kitchen and grabbed and ice pack and a snack for George. "Here you go" Dream said. "Thanks" George said.

They were quiet for the rest of the evening. It was 10:07 pm. George wanted to get up and try walking. He stood up and walked a few steps. It surprisingly didn't hurt to walk. Dream walked out from his room. "Ahh so now you can walk" Dream said playfully. "Umm" George said nervously. "You little- come here!" Dream said while chasing George around the house. George was dying of laughter and had to stop to catch his breath, so he stopped and turned while laughing to see Dream running and grabbing him. Since Dream was running so fast and laughing hard, they spun and fell to the ground. They were hugging each other while dying of laughter. "I got you now" Dream said while giggling. He began to tickle George. "Haha, no st-stop" George said while laughing. Dream stopped tickling George and slowly starting sitting up. Suddenly, Dream felt hands grab his shirt and pull down. His lips met George's and he melted into the powerful kiss. George released Dream from his grasp, letting him get up if he wanted to. Dream backed away and look George in the eyes. "George" Dream said. "Uh, yeah?" George said nervously while slowly sitting up. "I just wanted to tell you that-" Dream said while launching towards George, wrapping his arms around his neck kissing him. They both fell over back onto the floor, hearts melting. They both pulled away and looked at each other. " what does this mean, Dream " George said. "I think it mea-"Dream was cut off when he heard the front door open. Dream and George got up fast and sat on the couch. "Hey guyssss" Sapnap said setting down a soda cup on the counter. "What's up?" Karl said. "Uhhh haha, nothing much, just chilling" George said nervously. "What did you guys do for the last few hours?" Sapnap said. Dream and George looked at each other. "We watched movies" Dream lied. "Yep" George agreed, knowing exactly what they did.
