Back to Yeonjun's perspective woooooo
—————
It felt like I was walking for hours and hours on this dirt road, the sky a deep raven black making it difficult to see anything, I could barely even see my feet that were under me.
I didn't know where I was walking to I just knew I had to walk, even when my legs slowly started to burn I never stopped walking, like that was my only destiny.
To walk, and walk, and walk, until I fall.
So here I am walking, it was peaceful for sometime honestly, the only sound was my feet hitting the dusty road, until.
"Where are you going?" A deep voice asked making me turn to look behind me quickly, though nothing was there. I started to look around, spinning in circles as I tried to find where that voice was coming from.
Suddenly I felt a hand grab my shoulder from behind me making me spin around to face the nameless voice,
Except now that I look at it, it does have a name, a familiar name.
The voices body was bigger and taller than me with an extremely muscular build, his face was covered with the same scars and bruises as mine except they were older. The voice held a melancholy expression that i'd never seen from him before.
"You need to get out.." His voice was now shaky, like he was going to cry at any moment, an uneasy feeling started to overwhelm me as he began shaking my shoulders.
"You have to get out now!" He yelled shaking me more vigorously, my eyes filling with unknown tears.
"Dad!" I screamed.
And just like that everything became dark again, my father's body and voice gone.
Ring Ringgg Ring Ringgg, The sound of my ringtone quickly took me out of my sleep, breathing heavily as I sat up on the comfortable bed.
I had spent the last two days at Soobin's house, both of us just deciding to skip school on Friday. And now it's a not so bright Saturday morning, the soft rain could easily be heard from the window beside me.
I was sleeping in the guest room, which was 10x better than the uncomfortable bed I've had to sleep on all my life.
I picked up the phone that seemed to be continuously ringing, groaning as I answered, "Hello?" I asked, my voice slightly groggily. "Good morning Yeonjun, I was wondering if you'd be able to come to the school around the next hour, I have some things I'd like to discuss" The voice of my math teacher quickly brought me out of my grogginess as I scrambled to find an answer.
"Y-yes I'll be there" I answered. "Great, see you then" Ms. Iban said before hanging up the phone.
A sigh escaped my lips as I desperately tried to knock the thoughts of that nightmare out of my head. Getting out of the warm bed and walking downstairs.
The house was a peaceful silence all throughout, 'Soobin must still be asleep,' I thought, the picture of my blueberry haired friend coming to my mind making me absentmindedly smile.
Going to the kitchen, I grabbed a water bottle from the refrigerator and my pack of Marlboro's before heading out to the clean front porch.
I hadn't had a cigarette in the 2 days i've been here, I was gonna go insane sooner or later. Lighting the cigarette quickly before huffing and puffing out the relaxing smoke.
Looking at the view of the light grey sky, that seemed somewhat fresher in the Crowning, I sighed as I smoked the last itty bitty grain of that cigarette before going back inside. I would've had at least 5 of those cigarettes if I didn't have somewhere to be in an hour.
