It was now a not so bright afternoon in October, the sun clouded by the light gray clouds that laid upon the sky like a blanket. This Friday going by ever so peacefully.

The soft lofi song that was calmly playing through my earbuds as I finished sketching my art assignment, sitting comfortably in the relaxing bean bag chair.

You could probably guess who's house I am in by now.

As I finished drawing little details I looked up to see the back of Soobin's head, who was currently working on his math homework.

At least that's what I'd like to think.

Hearing a loud groan from the said male I turned down the volume of my music as he spoke, "I'm so bored." Soobin said his voice filled with the same emotion making me roll my eyes.

"Have you finished any of your homework?" I questioned the blueberry haired boy and when I was met with silence I knew my answer.

I sighed exasperatedly, "I don't care if you're bored just finish the work" I said going back to looking at my sketch. "You're supposed to be my tutor right? You're supposed to help me." Soobin said tauntingly making my eye twitch slightly. I stood up from my once comfortable position, he wants some help?

I'll give him fucking help

Walking up to Soobin I grabbed, well more like yanked, the pencil out of his hand and speedily wrote the equation and answer for the first question I saw.

I slightly slammed the pencil down when I was finished, turning to look at the blueberry boy. "There" I said though quickly shut my mouth now seeing the position we were in, our faces only mere centimeters apart. A bright blush hitting my cheeks when I saw Soobin's eyes dart to my lips. His eyes going back to mine with a foreign emotion that only made me blush darker.

Being completely honest, I don't know why I didn't back away. We stayed in that position for what felt like hours, the quiet silence filling the room like waterfall.

"You kno-" before Soobin could finish what he was going to say the door bell aggressively rang all through the house taking him and I both out of our haze.

I backed away from him quickly as he stood up and ran to the front door, that had the doorbell still ringing roughly.

In my slight daze of confusion I could hear a familiar voice from downstairs, "What were you doing?" The voice asked and I quietly stuck my head out of the doorframe to see who it was.

It was Soobin's boyfriend.

"I was doing homework, you know I have my tutor over here today" Soobin said,  his voice 10 times deeper in comparison to his boyfriend's.

Just thinking of the words "His boyfriend" made me shiver with an unknown feeling. Though before I knew it I was making eye contact with the said boy, who's eyes were glaring daggers at me.

His eyes held the same disgust as the words he spat out. "Why the hell is he here?" The boyfriend looked back to Soobin. My lips laid shut to prevent any words to come out, "He's my tutor, I thought I told you this." Soobin answered, his eyes holding a weird emotion that I could only quite define as confusion.

Soobin's boyfriend huffed slightly, before rolling his eyes back to me, my body now out from hiding in the bedroom. My body laid stiff as everything fell to an awkward silence, I hated it.

I wanted to leave.

So with that I walked back into Soobin's room, grabbed my book bag and began walking down the stairs, I could almost feel the two boys' eyes on me before one of them spoke.

"W-where are you going?" I heard Soobin mumble out, I quickly turned to him, "You know I have something to do tonight so I better get going." I said attempting to shake away his boyfriend's burning glare.

"Probably gonna go suck some dick for $1" I heard the boyfriend joke as I made my way to the door making me stop abruptly. I could hear Soobin audibly gasp at the words that left his mouth.

Now I swear to you, I'll say it again, SWEAR to you I tried to keep calm. You know be the bigger person or whatever that fucking shit means, but just hearing him speak made my blood pressure rise and my temper slightly boil with annoyance.

And it wasn't like he was completely wrong either, which made me even more aggravated.

Ignoring the warnings that were going through my head like bullets, I turned around and walked towards Soobin's boyfriend. Aggressively putting a tight grip on his left shoulder which made his eyes show a glimpse of fear.

"No, but i'm sure your father would love one for $150, just text him for me" I hissed out.

God the look on his face almost made me laugh, it was like if a train was in human form he was basically fuming. He was left speechless

I only allowed myself to make a small smile, "See ya later Soobin" I said as I walked out the door, though not before winking at him. Knowing that it'll leave him slightly flustered.

Though I didn't get to see that flustered face because as soon as I closed the door I booked it out of the gorgeous neighborhood.

God i was going to be dead.

As I was running the only thought I had in mind was to get back to my side of town. Not even the now obvious lightning strikes and loud clapping sounds of thunder took me out of my fear driven headspace.

When I made it away from the crowning I almost fell on the concrete trying to regain the breath I just lost.

Just then the harsh cold rain started to fall like spikes, the cold almost making my fingers go numb.

And I had an appointment to go to, in the midst of all this rain.

I stood up straight as the water made my hair extremely damp, almost covering my eye sight. Walking to the motel.

Well isn't this just great.

————-

It went how it always went when I had a client, I get tossed and beat around like a rag doll until they're finished and I get paid. But this time I didn't have anyone to come pick me up and take me to go get pizza and cherry cola, no.

The rain was still pouring as I limped my way out of the motel, the current weather obviously not helping my current situation.

I never realized how much of a pain in the ass walking back home would be until I was almost half way there and my knees began to feel like they were going to give out.

Somehow though, I got to my front porch and opened the door to the dark, and rundown looking house. Sighing as I turned the lights on I walked around and my mom was no where to be seen, which was odd because they just came back no more than two days ago.

Looking in the kitchen I saw a note that was written on one of those McDonalds napkins, It read

We ain't gonna be back till next week, clean the house and put the money on the table.

It was easy to tell it was my mom's handwriting. I huffed throwing the money I earned from tonight along with my book bag, that felt like a million weights put on me.

When I made it to my bed, I shivered putting the old blanket around me. Coughing and sneezing loudly as I attempted to get some rest. Only one thought crossing my mind.

Fuck i'm sick.
