ALFIEANA 2: THE GATE OF ALFIEANA

Chapter 4

Rose spends the whole day reading the book while the two guys sit separately and spend time reflecting on whatever is going on. At the other end Nicholas and others are plotting on how to get back into the castle to figure out how to help Adris.

Nicholas: I say we go in

Harry: we can't take drastic steps at this point whatever Zeus did to her it made her stronger and dangerous. We don't stand a chance against her right now

Kaylan: we don't need to fight her we won't have to fight her. We can try and figure out how best to get to Adris she must be still in there somewhere.

Ethildor: that's your genius plan? The second she sees us we'll be toast.

Guy: only the protectors can defeat her I say we wait

Guy 2: I wish Richard was still here he would know what best measures to take.

Nicholas: I'm not Richard, but I feel someone needs to take up he's role to help clear the air.

Ethildor: you're next in line.

Guy 3: yep

Nicholas: and how don't I know that. We take a vote.

Guy 4: anyone against Nicholas?

All: .............................. [Except Nicholas who raises his hand].

Guy 4: anyone for Nicholas?

All: [all except Nicholas raise their hands].

Guy 5: majority wins

Guy 6: what's your say?

Nicholas: like I said I'm not Richard, but I will try my best to be a great leader of adversaries and warriors.

Nicholas: with that note.................

All: [keep silent]

Nicholas: having listened to your views I feel we should wait on the protectors, lest we lose another one of us to death. I'll never be able to replace Richard, but I'll try my best to be what I can. We hold them off here as planned.

Rose: I finished it.

Scott: well....

Rose: it's very surprising

Chase: how so?

Rose: long ago when Valtol and Zeus were kids about the same age, they were taken to the same wizardry training. They met and became very close like best friends to an extent of them calling each other twins or something like that. They grew up and Zeus started having images of a woman he kept seeing being killed by another woman who then drank her blood. He then had a dream of the same woman holding he's hand while looking at the same symbol by he's thumb who then said to him, this is what tells us who we are. From this, Zeus actually didn't remember who he was when he just began the wizardry training. After he's mother died right in front of he's eyes by Medusa's hand, he ran out and was found by the very wizards that are with him. They took him to that school after wiping off he's memory of that incident so he could live on. When they got to learn about Medusa, they taught them about the symbol as well. It made him feel alone when he learnt he's from bad roots so he aimed to kill himself, but he's best friend stopped him and said he would help him come to bottom of it.

Valtol then told he's brothers about this, but instead they criticized Zeus and told Valtol to stay away from him. Valtol believed he's friend was innocent so he read further in he's brothers study and saw that Medusa was actually killed, but could be raised again and controlled. Valtol told Zeus and together they decided to figure out a way to raise Medusa so they could hear the truth from her, but they were attacked by Zedd and Ganduff claiming he had gone rogue that Zeus lured him. Remember Zedd said Valtol got busy and never helped because he wanted more power? I guess he asked so much about Medusa causing them to think he got power hungry and wanted to do whatever it was she did to get so strong. Later Zeus and Valtol with the very wizards together made a really strong force that Zedd and Ganduff couldn't face so they called for help from protectors.
Zeus discovered that the only way to raise Medusa was to find the book of baal which was in the protectors keep. Valtol humbly requested for it, but instead they attacked him. Zeus came in with he's wizards hence that war that arose. Valtol never meant to kill he's brother Ganduff, but he's brother was going to kill him. He tried explaining so many times during the war, but he didn't understand and was going to kill him so Valtol had to do it. Then after taking the book and reading it, they discovered only the last pages had the spells the first pages were blank. It said only the purest of hearts could write in it. So Valtol wrote this story in it and afterwards, the missing step in raising Medusa appeared and that was a female descendant of Baal. They had just killed the last protectors hence they waited for us and we took Adris right to him.
