"Michael you are not wearing a cut off shirt for this event," I said.
"Honestly what even is high fashion?" He asked in a sassy way.
"If I have to dress nice, so do you. Go change Gordon."
Michael glared at me before ripping the shirt off of his body and throwing it at me.
"Daddy has a really pale tummy," Aubrey said.
I giggled and handed Michael the button up shirt I just ironed for him.
Tonight was Alex and Lisa's wedding. They decided to do it in Australia because Lisa fell in love with a venue when they vacationed here.
I know I could never get Michael into a suit so a simple button down would sure suffice but Michael wasn't having it.
I mean I hate heals with a passion and would rather wear flats.
Aubrey had on the cutest dress that I found in a thrift store with Cassidy. (Thrift Thursday's were still our weekly thing.) It was a blue dress with a thin brown belt and a peach colored cardigan.
I was wearing this white Lacey dress that I never had a reason to wear until now. I had to have something black to I wore black heals that were threatening my life with their height. If I was to fall it wouldn't be good.
"Mommy you look pretty," Aubrey said.
"I look prettier," Michael said walking out holding his tie.
I went over to him and rolled my eyes. "Yes Michael you're a hot girl," I said.
I began fumbling with his tie because Michael had no clue how to tie one.
"Mum is uncle ash going to be there?" Aubrey asked.
"He should be," I said, "why?"
Aubrey pulled out a paper from her "purse" that had a drawing of a banana on it. "He says that bananas can't tap dance so I drew him a diagram of one."
"It looks very nice," I said.
I looked at my watch and of course we were late. "Michael cmon we're gonna miss the wedding," I said grabbing the present.
"We've got time. Alex is approximately 10 minutes late to everything anyways," he said.
I grabbed Aubrey's hand and walked with her to the car.
I decided to take matters into my own hands so I Started the car and moved to the drivers seat.
Michael was taking too long so it was time to put things into high gear.
When Michael finally got into the car he threw a fit saying that he's the man and he should drive. But I can drive like it's nobody's business.
At points it didn't feel safe but it was effective. Michael didn't have this sense of urgency that I did.
By the time we got there it was almost time for the wedding to start.
I had to fix Michael's tie once again in the parking lot. How he fucked it up within the 10 minute car ride is beyond me.
Michael, Aubrey, and I made our way to the rest of the boys in the pew.
Before we sat down I saw Michael give Alex a wave who returned the gesture with a thumbs up.
"Oi what took so long?" Luke asked.
"Princess here had to look good," Michael said pointing to me.
"As if," I said pulling aubrey onto my lap.
"Uncle ash we have business to discuss," aubrey said.
