The Republic Venators dropped swarms of LA- AT hovercraft.  Watching from the Negotiator, Ahsoka, Anakin and Obi Wan planned the siege of Mandalore.

There plan was simple.  Anakin would lead the 501st against the Death Watch soldiers, with Rex and his brothers.  Obi Wan would infiltrate the palace with the 212th, where Maul was located.  Ahsoka would confront the once mighty Sith.  It was simple.  Or so they thought.  High stakes were put on the table.  This battle would define the galaxies future.

Anakin's POV

I ran through the blaster fire, blocking shots and leading the men to victory.  This is where I feel best, this is where I can use my skill, my power.  What worries me most at the moment is... Ahsoka.  What if something happens to her?  It would all be my fault.

"The line is secure." Rex's voice snapped me back to reality.

"Good.  Split your men into three groups.  One group defending the line, the second group will take out the defenses of the Citadel.  The third group will be a small detachment of five men.  You, and four elite men will meet up with Obi Wan at the agreed rendezvous point."

"Yes Sir"

Obi Wan's POV

Sneaking through the sewer systems.  How uncivilized.  Motioning to the clones behind me to stop, I leaned out of the vent, before jumping to the ground.  This building... it was where Maul killed Satine.  I remember the day it happened.  The Darksaber ripping through her.  Her last words.  Her ice blue eyes.  Now was not the time to relive the past, though.  Now, they had a war to win.  Cody loaded his blaster and leapt down after me.  I ignited the blade of my lightsaber, and dropped down to the rendezvous point to wait for Anakin.  He was late as usual.  I guess some things never change.

Ahsoka's POV

As I walked into the throne room.  I stood taller, and lifted my chin.  This was it.  The showdown.  Maul walked up to me and scanned me with his piercing yellow eyes.

"This won't be a fair fight, you're not even a real Jedi." he half- whispered.

"But you are only half a Sith." I responded, channeling as much of Obi Wan's energy as I could.

"Join me, or die."

Igniting my blades and taking on my preferred battle stance, I readied myself for a duel.  Glowering at me, he ignited his own dual red blade.  Obi Wan had taught me about Maul's fighting style, and everything he knew about him.  I was ready.  After rigorous training with Obi Wan, I was more than ready.  The dual began.

Third person POV

Blue and red flashed across the room, both duelists masters of their own lightsaber styles.  Maul, using the acrobatic Form VI, Ahsoka using a combination of Shien grip (Form V), Ataru, Form IV and Djem So (Form V).  The lightsaber duel heated every second, every clash of the blades filled with energy and raw emotion.  This was more than a battle between a former Sith and a former Jedi.  This was a battle between light and dark, no more, a battle between good and evil.

Author's note:  Thank you so much for reading, sorry if this is a bit short.  I tried my best.  The next chapter will go into more detail about the duel between Maul and Ahsoka.  Stay tuned for the next chapter.  <3
