I woke up to the sound of monitors, looking to my left to see Spencer's sleeping body passed out in a chair. I smiled up at the sight, peering down at my arm as I remembered what had happened. When Spencer shot the man, a bullet grazed my shoulder, one going through my arm just right and knocking me to the floor.
I grabbed my phone that'd been left on the nightstand, my eyes squinting to see the time. Eleven thirty in the morning. It made sense that it was morning, light peering through the shitty paper thin hospital curtains.
After I set my phone back down I turned to Spencer, my arm hurting like hell as I did. His eye bags were worse than usual, about three or four paper coffee cups scattered across the room. "Were you watching me sleep?" Spencer spoke with his eyes closed, mine going wide.
How could he tell?
"Mhm." I hummed a reply, falling flat on my back and stretching. My nose was stuffy, the early June pollen messing with my senses.
"Are you ready to go home, princess?" I felt the bed droop down on my right, Spencer's arms slinging around me and pulling me closer. I hummed again, falling into his warm touch. My body was cold, how I'd imagine death to feel. It felt like I wasn't even here in a way, one that was far too hard to explain. "We can finally go home." I smiled. Home. Spencer had asked me to move in. His home would now be mine, ours.
I turned over, brushing a curl out of his face causing him to smile. He repeated my action, rubbing his thumb down my cheek then pulling me into a kiss. His lips were overly chapped and dry, but so were mine. It's like our lips were dehydrated, begging for water but we ignored them, letting the kiss deepen when his tongue slipped in my mouth. I was far too weak to fight him for dominance, just lying there as he wrapped his arms tighter around my waist.
"Excuse me-" There was a knock at the door, our heads snapping up to see a small brunette nurse in pink scrubs. "The- release papers." Spencer jumped up, grabbing a pen from his pocket as he rushed to sign them. His signature was messy, but he didn't care. All he cared about was getting me home.

"All of my stuff- it's here." I was speechless, my well over priced Anthropologie pillows sitting on Spencer's brown leather couch. I walked in further, my duvet covering his bed. "Who- ho-" He stopped me, his lips on mine once again before he lightly hit my cheek.
"Just shut up," I giggled, the moment stopped when there was a ring from the doorbell. Spencer sighed, a small giggle escaping my lips as he slugged to the door. "Wha- Morgan, hey." Morgan sent him a look, walking in with Penelope shortly behind him. He was holding some takeout bags from Eddies, my eyes turning into hearts as he pulled me into a hug.
"You, Derek Morgan... I love you." He chuckled, Penelope running in the room and pulling me into a hug.
"I'm so glad that you're okay, my love!" She kissed all over my head, handing me container of chocolate milk powder and a box of orange filled chocolates.
"Thanks, P." I laughed at the odd arrangement, although I wasn't complaining. Two of my favorite things from one of my favorite people.
"Anyways, now that's you're finally better we can plan your wedding!" I bit my lip, looking down at my ring then back to her. I hadn't thought too much about the wedding. Sure, I had a Pinterest board like all of the other girls, but I had no idea what I truly wanted.
"Hey, you guys." I turned to see JJ and Will, the door opening further revealing Henry and and Michael. I smiled.
"Hey, J and hello boys." Everyone laughed at my odd tone of my voice, bickering coming from outside the door but stopping when Derek opened it. Jack and Aaron stood there speechless, little giggles leaving my lips. Rossi and Emily were the last two to arrive, the whole gang piling in and struggling to fit around the bar to eat.
"You know, you guys can eat on the couch if you want." I yelled over from where I was sitting with the kids, everyone putting their hands up in defense.
"Misses El, are you okay?" I turned to Henry, smiling as I stuffed my face with a blueberry scone.
"Yeah, I'm actually feeling a lot better." I sent him a bigger grin, watching as he sent one back and turned to his food.
"So, how's the other guy?" I turned to Jack, surprised he'd finally looked away from his phone.
"I mean, he's dead... how's your girlfriend?" I wiggled my brows, finding much joy in teasing the child. He scoffed, rolling his eyes as he looked away.
"You sound like, Emily." I rolled my eyes.
"I love, Em, but don't say I sound like her. Especially about relationships, please?" He sighed, trying his best not to laugh. Everyone knew Emily got really excited and crazy when she found out the littlest detail about anybody's romantic life. Even Jacks.
"Fine, but only if you give me twen- hey, dad!" Aaron walked over, his brows knitting together as I paused while reaching for my purse.
"What're you two doing?" My lips fell apart, Jacks body stiffening.
"We were- going to buy girl scout cookies." Aaron nodded his head slowly, sucking in his lip as he stared between the two of us.
"You were?" I swallowed, trying my best not to laugh.
"Most definitely. Why else would I be giving a fifteen year old twenty dollars?" Aaron rolled his eyes, pointing his finger at Jack.
"She was just shot, are you serious?" He emphasized the 'you' Jack looking to me, as I looked to him.
"Oops." Aaron leaned his head back, grabbing a twenty from his wallet and chucking it at Jack.
"Now, leave her alone or Ill call your aunt." Jacks eyes widened. "That's what I thought."
